  1. I want to say THANK YOU! Your recommendations helped me a ton. I was offered the job! I will be trained to work as a circulating nurse! This is going to change my nursing career path in a great way!
  2. I completely agree with you! I have a list ready. Thank you!!
  3. This will help me a ton! Thank you so much!!
  4. Thank you so much CharleeFoxtrot! I just cant find anything specific to a surgery unit. Sometimes in the interviews, nurse managers throw some cases to see what you come up with and those make me nervous. I overthink things too, so stressful. Thank you for sharing your insight!
  5. Hello all! I have an interview this coming week. All I know is that it is for a full time position in a surgery unit at my local hospital. The interview is with the nurse manager. I would like to know what kind of questions should I expect. I have worked at a nursing home/rehab care center since I graduated in 2015 and I have no idea what to expect. I'm doing this because I am ready for a change and I want to grow in my nursing career. Hope someone can help me with some ideas. I really appreciate it!
  6. Hello, can you share where do you took your courses? Thanks!
  7. Thank you!! Not a problem! How's your studying coming along? I have no idea about the uniforms because I have to use the one provided by the hospital. If I had to I would buy the ones from the distributor until knowing more about the manager and his/her policies. My appointment is for the 5th. I will go earlier that day to pick my schedule etc. I'm nervous and excited!! We will meet soon! :)
  8. Hi! Happy new year! I accepted the job offer! So excited! Have you heard from them after the phone call or signed anything? I know we have an occupational test to take and do their physical.
  9. Thank you so much!! That really eases my anxiety. Landing a spot will be a great way to end the year. :)
  10. Thank you! They called for the third anf final interview!! What should I expect? Can you tell me a little about what to expect? I have no clue for this one. Uworld has an excellent question bank and they add and update daily. Last time they had around 1,700. So I imagine they surpassed that by now, and the price is really good.
  11. Hi, thank you so much for answering. For some reason I was really nervous yesterday. I did so good on the first one, but I think I blew it on this one. I'm just praying the managers can see past my nerves. I know there are other hospitals in the area but this is where I want to be. I hope they call back. I will let you know either way. Just an FYI for the NCLEX...I did Kaplan, Uworld, and the Lacharity delegation book. Passed on my first try but honestly, I felt that Kaplan did not help me much.
  12. Congratulations!!!!! So you get the job offer during t he second or third interview? Im about to go there. Im really nervous.
  13. Hi, My second interview was re-scheduled, it will be tomorrow. Hope your interview went great!
  14. Oh wow, I did not know there was a third interview... oh my. I will have my second interview with two managers tomorrow. Praying it all goes well. Congratulations on your coming graduation and good luck with your next interview! Sending positive vibes! Let me know how it goes.
  15. Hello fmf13! Have you started? What should I expect during the second interview? Can't wait to hear!
