  1. Hey everyone, I just wanted to give a quick update about where I'm at with school. I officially start classes on Monday and I am so excited. I have my exam dates, clinical schedule, books, supplies and everything I need to make it a successful year. I start clinicals in my third week so that's exciting and nerve wrecking at the same time. I just want to be good at what I do. I wish everyone luck on their journey and I'll update you guys again soon.
  2. I was thinking about either starting a blog to document my journey through the whole program or creating a vlog on youtube. I'm not sure if many people would watch but I think it would at least help someone out who's looking for a bit of information on the lpn program.
  3. Wow March is a bit far. Does the college you applied at have a waiting list?
  4. I'm so jealous lol. How long is your program? I'd love to hear about your journey along the way. Good luck!
  5. I think I'll go with allheart.com for my nursing needs. They seem to be the best as far as price goes.
  6. Thanks everyone for the help. I honestly didn't expect more than a couple of replies so this really helps alot.
  7. The Teas v covered four subjects, reading, math , science and then writing. There's a total of 170 questions I believe but i think I'm off by a few. Reading has 48 questions, math 34, science 54 and writing I think had 32 or 34. Another thing to keep in mind is that you can only take the test twice in a 12 month period so try to make sure you have enough time to study so that you pass it on your first try. Alot of people talk about how hard the teas test is but its all about how much time and effort you put into studying and there are practice tests you can take on the ati website. When do plan on starting the program if everything goes well?
  8. Thanks I'll definitely a google search and maybe look around amazon to see what I can find for that brand.
  9. Hi and thanks. I'm actually completing the program at a private college because the community colleges in my area have a pretty long wait list. It's 11 months long split into four quarters. There's a pretty good checklist of things I had to complete before I was accepted including the Teas test, immunization records, background check and a few other course related tasks. One thing I would suggest is study for at least 2 or 3 weeks before you take the teas. I passed on my first try with one week of studying but the science was definitely the hardest part of the test. Do you plan on completing the program at a community college?
  10. Someone has to be interested. I'd really like to hear about everyones individual journey. Don't be shy lol
  11. Hopefully someone here can help guide me in the right direction because I am beyond lost lol. I start my Ipn program October 5th and I just found out that a stethoscope and bp cuff are not included in my tuition. I was told that I should invest in a quality stethoscope but I have no clue as to what I should be looking for as far as brand, price and whatever other factors I should consider. Also any advice on where to purchase a bp cuff would also be greatly appreciated. I hope to hear from you all, thanks:)
  12. How far along are you in the program?
  13. Congrats! I have orientation coming up in a couple of weeks. My start date is Oct 5. I look forward to reading your post on your journey. I'll definitely be posting mine starting with orientation. Good luck
  14. Hi everyone, I'm very new to this so please be patient with me lol. I'm starting my lpn program October 5th and my orientation is September 29th. I have never been more excited about anything in my life. I was wondering if there's anyone who is currently in the program or a recent graduate who would care to discuss your experiences. I would also like for future lpn students like myself to chime in so we could keep up with each others progress and individual experience as well. Hope to hear from you guys soon.
