  1. @RNLLB I am not sure if there are two different forms to fill. But I remember there was a question if I have taken NCLEX before and I ticked that with "yes".
  2. Good for you, you made it on the first try! Yeah go write if you feel like it. Does anyone care? Maybe. Or maybe none but who cares :-)
  3. To what state are you applying? Have you checked your state's requirements. They usually provide a step by step set of requirements. I also requested from CGFNS but it was a CES report I didn't really take the CGFNS exam. I was only required to submit a CGFNS-CES report to my state. I created a CGFNS account, requested for CGFNS-CES report and paid then followed the steps. I went to my university and PRC and had asked them to forward it to my state.
  4. It could be on hold because they might be looking into it like checking if there was any inconsistencies or problem. It could also because you did the trick too early. Weren't the case study questions part of the research questions that they have? Those questions won't be scored or won't be counted with your NCLEX questions. Do the pvt again 24hrs after and check with your state board's website too. Continue to pray and br strong. Hoping you made it this time! í ½í¸Š
  5. Disclaimer: this post is too long to read I took the NCLEX last May 2017, consumed the whole 6hrs and was really anxious and was so pressured (by myself). I had a bad feeling I failed that time so when I found out I was right when I purchased the Quick Results, I was so hurt (in denial) but 4 days after I re-registered. I believe I can so I did go for it. I waited for 45 days for my ATT and when I got it I wanted to take it ASAP but there was no more available early date so I ended up scheduling it for the 7th of August. While waiting for my ATT, I enrolled myself in a 5-week-study plan of NCSBN Learning Extension, bought the books: Lippincott NCLEX-RN Alternate-Format Questions 6th edition and Prioritization, Delegation, and Assignment by Linda A. LaCharity, Candice K. Kumagai & Barbara Bartz They all helped me. The 5-week study plan was worth it and the books were really useful. Everyday I read & understand content and answered several questions. I take a break when I feel tired or sleepy then go back to reviewing when I have recharged. I also put laboratory values, therapeutic levels, ABG values in posters and posted them on our bedroom walls so I can always see them when I get up. It helped me remember them. A week before NCLEX we went out of state and just enjoyed it there. Relaxed my mind and repeated to myself that this time I will make it and I will believe in myself. A day before NCLEX, I did my normal routine. Prepared what I have to bring for the exam. I tried to sleep early but I guess I was a little excited so I ended up falling asleep a little late. Day of NCLEX, I woke up on time. I had a well-balanced breakfast because I was preparing myself for another 6 hours. I kept myself well hydrated too. I arrived 40 minutes early at the testing area so I utilized 10 minutes to use the restroom and did some deep breathing exercise and prayed really hard. I checked in and it kinda took me longer than the last time because the palm scanner cannot detect my palm (which was weird) so we had to do it a lot of times. I was already in and sat on my chair and started the tutorial. Before I started the exam proper, I prayed again and told myself "god is great. I am smart and i shall pass". I have repeated saying that before every question. I took the scheduled break but it took me longer because of the palm scanner again, that day it just seemed that my palm was invisible to the scanner. Anyway I drank some water and munched on some chocolate then went back in. I can't remember how many questions I have answered before I answered the RESEARCH QUESTIONS they have though I can remember by the time I was done it was already around 130 something. I didn't know I can skip some of the questions, I answered them all. I think it took me 2.5hrs. So I went out the building feeling somewhat positive and apprehensive but I just lifted it up to him because I have done my part, my best. I did the Pearson Vue trick the next day, 24hrs after and I got the "good pop up" I was glad but didn't celebrate yet because it is not an assurance and it is just a "trick" anyway. I didn't purchase Quick Results this time and I just patiently waited. Everyday I do the PVT and check the state board's website until TODAY 11th of August, I found out I am officially a REGISTERED NURSE!!! So all glory goes to the great big guy above. I believe in him and I believe in myself that I can make it and I really did!!!! So PVT was accurate for me and it worked!!! To those who are about to take the exam, be really prepared mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically! Do not take it when you are too anxious. Be positive! Believe in yourself that you can!
  6. YES I WILL! Congratulations and thank you!
  7. Yeah agree. Thank you for sharing!
  8. I am not sure if I am the right person you should be asking coz I didnt pass. But while reviewing we were reminded not to memorize (except for the lab values) but know the content by heart coz that will really help a lot. Not only will it help u in the exam but also as u work as an RN. Dont study the day or 2-3 days before the exam. Relax and be confident. Hope you can do it! Try not to be so anxious (that's a mistake i did) and analyze the questions well, don't be in a hurry but don't take too long too over a question. Believe in yourself, you can do it! :-)
  9. Noted ma'am, thank you
  10. Thank you for sharing. Good luck on your new journey! :)
  11. Yes. My nclex was mostly prioritization, delegation and assessment and multiple response questions. Yes I will. Thank you once again :-)
  12. Congratulations!!! :-) yes some of my review classmates are using UWorld too some said it didnt work for them. I think it really depends upon the person. I know I have that knowledge I just have to be calm and access it. Test anxiety sucks I will do my nest to avoid it this time. Good luck on ur new endeavor as an LPN! Thank u for sharing your experience :-)
  13. Wow!! Congratulations!! í ½í¸Š Yes thats what Im planning to use as well. Though in the review class they discouraged us to use any Saunders material but I think it worked well for you. Im waiting for my books. I ordered Lippincot and LaCharity too. Thank you so much for your kind words. I hope I pass next time.
  14. No. Apart from the review class, I had Kaplan and NCLEX Mastery. Now I plan to avail of the NCSBN Learning Ext as advised by someone whos been out of nursing school for a long time too and she passed.
  15. Yes I only knew about not putting "RN" after I have already registered with that username. Will I be able to edit it? Yes it has been 8 yrs since I graduated that is why I enrolled myself in a review class instead of just reviewing by myself. I know somebody who just passed NCLEX, we graduated the same year. Thank you for sharing though :)
  16. I failed again I first took NCLEX in 2009 I don't really consider it coz that time I was not really prepared and when I failed that year I said I will NEVER take NCLEX again coz failing was just too painful. Then it happened again...last week. Purchased the Quick Results so I found out I failed again. I know I gave out my best this time but I guess my best wasn't good enough. I enrolled myself in an intensive review class and spent 3 weeks to go over the notes and prepared myself. I think I let my anxiety took over me coz minutes before the exam I panicked and thoughts of storming out the test center and not taking the exam were all in my head. Good thing I was able to control it and brought myself back to reality. I was really devastated of the result and thought again of never taking it anymore. I felt so down like I was so stupid but now I have realized true failure is not failing the exam but quitting without trying again. So I decided to register again. I am just waiting for my ATT from the Nevada BON. I just have a few questions though and I hope whoever can relate will answer me or give out some tips (if u dont mind). It will really be appreciated. 1. Retake policy is 45 days after the administration of exam. Does it mean Nevada BON will send me my ATT after 45 days too? 2. How many times will Nevada BON allow me to take NCLEX? 3. How can I study effectively? Im aware Im weak in the cardiovascular system, EKG reading and interpretation, stuff like that. I also know that it will be after 6 weeks before I will receive my performance paper. So I have no idea in what areas I was weak at in the exam 4. Any tips or advice for a retaker like me? Thank you in advance and god bless us all
  17. have you tried contacting CGFNS to clarify on the matter? i also applied for CES report and awaiting for result. it has been a month. how long did it take yours to receive a result?
  18. hello quinbii07! glad to have read your post. im actually confused right now though i think i should prolly give the nevada bon a ring so my questions will be answered. :-) but id just like to ask i u dont mind how long did it take your ces report to be available? i have not taken any exam yet as i am still self reviewing for TOEFL ibt. i am following the first step in the process accdg to Nevada bon though again i may have to inquire or clarify bout that too. my second inquiry is, is it okay to ask you tips in taking the toefl ibt since u already passed? :-) 3rd inquiry: while reviewing now for TOEFL iBT is it already possible to apply for NCLEX? im not going to take yet but if it will take time to register and requirements may needed i want to know ahead since il be coming to Ph this December. will appreciate to hear from u soon. thank u!

  23. Hello! I'm new here. I hope you guys could help me or give me info about nursing job vacancies for foreign nurses in North Las Vegas. I am from the Philippines and will be migrating soon in the US. I still have to comply with the state requirements though.I've been out of the nursing field here for almost 3 years. Will most hospitals there require recent nursing experience? Thanks in advance guys!
