  1. I only use skin protectant wipes to peri wound skin! NEVER heard of using it over an actual wound. And the alcohol-based kind will burn like crazy. No-sting ones are best esp for denuded peri wound areas
  2. Hi :) so a few things... If there's slough, it is a stage 3. All wounds heal best within a moist environment, so a hydrogel and a foam dressing would be ideal. Hydrogel will also facilitator automatic debridement of the slough. Foam will be absorbent and provide cushion. Turning and repositioning and protein/water intake are vital!
  3. If you still have questions about this, message me. Similar situation.
  4. I have 2 criminal charges on my record from time PRIOR to becoming a nurse. I completed my "recovery" program through my initial licensing state without complications. Have since been licensed in another state without any issues. Now, applying for licensure in TX is causing a major headache. >30 days into my temporary license, I receive a letter and email saying my case has to be sent to enforcement... Ok no big deal. Then they throw the "90 days minimum" at me which will extend past my temporary license's expiration date. I've called and they won't tell me crap until the 90 days is up. I have roughly 30 days left until my temp expires and I was wondering- if I change my legal residence back to where I hold a license that's part of a compact state- can I practice under this or is this frowned upon? Really don't want to lose my job or be off for an unknown period of time. Any tips are appreciated!!! HELP!
