  1. I sent my acceptance yesterday, I believe it was by June 15th.
  2. It just links to their website's technology section. If you search "OHSU school of nursing laptop" it will go to their technology page and give all the minimum specs. Basically they are a windows campus and most minimum laptops will be fine, but not things like tablets. Also anyone with a Mac has to be prepared to find a windoes computer to use in case a necessary program doesn't work properly.
  3. Got my info packet in the mail today. Basically send a deposit and then you get the compliance info and added to a fb group so that is neat.
  4. Okay, good. Glad it isn't just me. ? I had to change my mailing address to my PO box so was worried it is just lost somewhere. I do have a packsge pickup but haven't ordered anything so hoping it arrived Saturday but they couldn't fit it in the box. I want to get going on the compliance stuff. I got a call too. Super neat they pair you up with someone.
  5. Fingers crosed for you!! ????
  6. Mine came at 8:15am for Ashland. Any ashland folk trceived their packets yet?
  7. It is small, but people are VERY friendly. Lots of activities and outdoors stuff. I have my biology degree from SOU and connecting with people was never too difficult if you like the outdoors or the arts. Congrats!
  8. Got my Ashland acceptance!! Literally in shock! Hope to meet some of you there. ?
  9. In a way they did. Not so much the basic answering of the questions, but finding stories that went with them as examples helped. I would say the basic questions helped me with the essay more, but overall I am glad I prepared.
  10. Also you hearing back before the estimated date is giving me anxiety/hope/jumping to check my email. Haha.
  11. Fingers crossed for you. That was fast to hear back. I keep refreshing my email for Ashland.
  12. For sure. I didn't memorize either, just had general thoughta, but ours were individual. Portland is doing group, yeah? I am sure you will do great. Everyone is nervous and they know that.
  13. I looked up common nursing interview questions, typed up and then re handwrote some basic responses/stories basically. That is what I do before any interview and it helps me a lot. I did the typing a couple days after getting the invite, and then rewrote a few that I expected by hand to get it in to my brain better. In the end, I am glad I did it and overall they were all so friendly that it was way less scary than I hyped it up to be (although who knows how I will feel when I actually find out the decision). ?
  14. I felt good about them! Well, my first one definitely felt like a warmup and then all the ones after I felt really good about. But everyone seemed great so who knows. ? Everyone was so nice and well organized so really eased my nerves. I am sure you will do great!
  15. The waiting is awful!! I interviewed at Ashland yesterday and the waiting is the worst. Fingers crossed for us all! ?
  16. My area gives more points to those with healthcare experience (usually CNAs, EMTs, and MAs). Often more points for more hours to a certain extent.
  17. I git mine about 1.5hrs ago. Was getting worried! Haha.
  18. Has anyone from the Ashland campus gotten the email they said they would send about parking/other info yet? It said a week before which is today, but I guess I didn't think they would email over the weekend. Haha. Paranoid my rsvp didn't go through even though it said "thanks for your response."
  19. The attachment just led to their website. Under resources it had a pdf link to this: https://www.ohsu.edu/xd/education/schools/school-of-nursing/about/campuses/upload/Interview-Prep-Guide-Ashland.pdf
  20. Just got an Ashland invite!
  21. One thing one of our instructors suggested was to close your eyes and visualize yourself doing all the steps. Also practicing on family members whenever you can. We had printouts of each skill with all the steps and went through which steps were critical (miss = autofail). Also writing out each skill helped cement steps. We had to do it in a certain format our teacher came up with, but I don't know if it would apply to other states.
  22. Nope, RCC is Rogue Community College. It's part of the OCNE as well. :)
