Teas V Book
I rented an ATI book from Amazon. It was only about $15. I haven't taken the TEAS yet (I have it scheduled for August) so I can't personally tell you if it's a good book to get, but from all the reviews I've read ATI was among the best. My school recommended it, too.

A&P 1 Tips to Prepare
I recommend watching lectures on Youtube. I HIGHLY recommend "AnatomyGMC" on YouTube. Her lectures are wonderful and if you end up with a not-so-great professor, having the information presented by someone else will help you understand better. "Daprofessa" is another great channel on YT. He helped me a lot when we had a lab practical on muscles. Also, find out what textbook your course requires and make sure it comes with a code for online access. I did so many practice tests with mine. I got an A in A&P1.

A&P II in a 6 week summer session?
I was thinking of attempting A&P2 over the summer so I could apply for the nursing program for fall 2016. Decided to wait and take A&P2 in the fall because I just want to enjoy the summer with my man and kids! Instead, I decided to really focus on studying for the TEAS test this summer, because I still have to take that and my college offers a free review class online with one of the nursing professors. :) Good luck in whatever you decide to do!

Afraid A&P is Going to Sink Me
Do you have the code that came with your book to get to the study material online? I used MasteringA&P | Pearson (and just used the code that came with my textbook) in A&P1 this semester and it was SO helpful. Just took my final yesterday but last I checked my average was 103! My professor didn't really "teach" much, a lot of the time she just presented the information to us and I think expected us to teach it to ourselves. Along with that website I watched a lot of lectures on YouTube. I highly recommend looking up "AnatomyGMC" on YouTube. Of course go over your notes or PowerPoints several times.

I got an A in A&P II!!
Awesome :) When will you be applying to a nursing program, or have you? I'm taking A&P1 right now and currently passing with an A :) It's a lot of hard work.

Going back to school @ 26
I turned 26 in January. I was pursuing a different degree when I graduated high school, then at 21 I got pregnant with my son (who is now 4). Needless to say, I didn't finish and I was forced to take 4 years off due to my personal situation. It is never too late. Let me repeat, IT IS NEVER TOO LATE. If you are determined and if nursing is something you really want to do, you will do what ever it takes. During those years I wasn't in school, I worked in an office (good job, horrible bosses) but I knew that I didn't want to be there forever, so I put in my notice and went back to college to finish my pre-reqs and I will be applying to several nursing schools this fall.

Prep Time Needed for Teas
Hi! Have you received your score yet? Hope you did well :) My college offers a TEAS prep workshop and I am planning to take that over the summer in addition to studying tons on my own.
