  1. @Katrina thank you so much!! And congratulations to you good luck in your nursing journey!
  2. @mmercado26 Hi! You can calculate your points through HERE . However, when I applied (you have to meet the requirements) for the program, the system automatically calculated my score for me. Btw, the scoring sheet I provided is for the LVN program. If you need the RN - Basic Track Score Sheet, click HERE. This should be the updated version, as they used to be out of 12 points. They are now out of 8 points. Hope this helps!
  3. Hi, all! Kingwood LVN's orientation is tomorrow. I would just like to know what to bring, what to wear, and what to expect?
  4. Hey y'all, I have created a FB group for the Kingwood c/o 2018 LVN! If you would like to join the group LONESTAR KINGWOOD LVN C/O 2018, the link is : (CLICK HERE) :)
  5. I want to make a Facebook group, but in order for me to create it I need friends to add to the group. If you would like to join, feel free to add me. My name on there is "Nat Phan". I have the Snapchat cheetah filter lol. And if you know anybody else that also got accepted, let them know about the group! :) Thanks.
  6. I know! I made a comment in the ADN thread, but couldn't find anybody else that applied for Kingwood. Most of them were already going to Montgomery. I made a thread hoping someone would comment LOL took awhile I was stressing over getting accepted.. Now that I am accepted, my stress moved over to the long list they provided us.
  7. @ LVN2B18 , awesome! Congrats!
  8. Congratulations! Will you be attending the Jun 19th orientation? :) Melanie, keep your hopes up! I heard/saw a few applicants giving up their Montgomery spot.
  9. Hi everyone! I got accepted! Did anybody else receive their letters?
  10. Has anybody received any letters yet? D:
  11. @kristalmarie93 That's a great score! Surely, you will get in :)
  12. @kristalmarie93 I agree. I am hoping to receive an e-mail by June 2nd, since that marks 2 weeks! What was your score on the score sheet? :) Good luck to you!
  13. Really up to you on how and where you want to go. But in my opinion, if I were you, I would suggest to just go straight to BSN since you are young. Take your pre-reqs then apply to a university of your choice. I would research some more options other than U of H, as well. There are other universities in Houston that offer the BSN program. You don't want to apply to just one, that way you can get accepted to multiple! :) I took the longer route just because I didn't know what I wanted to do so I kept changing my major and I have kids lol. Should have been a nurse by now :/ But as long as I get there Good luck to you!
  14. Thanks, I hope it's good enough lol and I agree! Application deadline is almost near and I'm ready for my countdown
  15. @FutureRNMelanie , I completely understand. I couldn't even apply last year as my scores were not satisfactory. I was even doubting if I should apply this year, because my scores seems to be barely making it. I'm just tired of waiting Don't lose hope and not give up. Just keep trying, you got this :)
  16. Did anybody else apply for LVN at Kingwood? I made a thread but nobody seems to be replying to it lol :/
  17. Thanks, @Mrsguillory ! I saw in another post that you are applying at Kingswood as well. Good luck to us. Hopefully we'll be classmates :)
  18. BTW, for those needing to get their HEP B Titer done, I got mine from this site. Go to their "test packages" tab and look for "immunity panel". You can get the combined quantitative titers of MMR/Varicella/HEP B for $135! The results are posted within 1-3 business days. They also will have it on record for 7 years! You don't need to get a physician's order in order to get this. As long as you pay online, you can go to labcorp nearest you (I went to the one at their Kingsland location) as a walk-in. Your receipt is basically your doctor's order. I was able to purchase the test package and get my blood work done the same day and got my results 2 days later! I hope this helps as I, too, looked everywhere. Getting the package done is cheaper than getting it individually.
  19. @ sharonamador0305 Congratulations! (Btw, I love your hair! )
  20. Just came across this thread. I have applied at Kingwood with a score of 7.296. I have not seen similar threads in regards to LVN applications at Lonestar. Hoping to find fellow hopefuls on this journey as I.
  21. Hi, everyone! Haven't seen much of these type of forums around. I have been looking for a thread to see who else is on the same boat as I am. Currently in the process of applying for the LVN program at Kingwood this upcoming Fall. I just finished getting my HEP B Titer done today and awaiting results. If I may add, what is everyone's admission score? I am hoping to get in with a 7.29
  22. Awesome! Good luck!
  23. Good luck!!! And I have not. Unfortunately, my plan got a little backed up. BUT, I will still be applying. Just gotta wait. In the meantime, more studying for the upcoming HESI test.
  24. Anybody applying for the FALL 2016 ADN program? I am planning on attending CYFAIR. How competitive is it and what were the minimum scores that anybody has seen calculated from the scoring chart admission? With the HESI exam, would it be sufficient enough to just take A&P I or would I need to take A&P II as well in order to be able to answer the questions? I've been stressing out over this...
  25. For the application that starts January - March 2016, I believe you would not need to take HESI A2, which is the critical thinking portion, because it would be required after the deadline. Good luck! I'm planning on applying around that time. Let me know how it goes for you all!
