  1. I'm actually taking a Med- term class with A&P and Math this summer. I'm only going to be in Nursing school for 8 credits a semester (if I get in). I made sure to take all the core gen ed courses before hand. Do you think I should volunteer during school to get my foot in the door of a hospital to help compensate for the fact that I'm only getting an ADN right now?
  2. I know what you mean. We only have 6 passing out of 26 and only 2 As and 2 Bs out of that 6. My poor instructor feel horrible but I continuously tell him that it isn't his fault.
  3. If your instructor does pictures for your practical, print them in black and white and color the different sections in and label them with a number. Have your key separate. that way you can quiz yourself or have someone else do it. Also like everyone has been saying study EVERDAY! Read ahead so you atleast have a basic knowledge of what the instructor will be talking about in class and if possible record your lecture to listen to later. That way if you missed something during class you can catch it on your 2nd or 3rd listen. GOOD LUCK!
  4. I'm 28 and married. We have 3 kids and I'm in my 3rd semester of pre-reqs. I've enjoyed my TC experience so far and the teachers I have had were amazing. The nursing program at our TC has a 90% NCLEX pass rate which is pretty darn amazing. Online classes would help with the child situation for your first semester of pre-reqs I think. Atleast that what I did and I was working at the time. So you do what you think will work for you sweetie.
  5. Hi there all, I am 28, married and the mother of 3. I am taking A&P this summer and doing really well however, I know that mean nothing in terms of how I will do in the nursing program. My question is what steps if any, can I start taking now to help me do well in the nursing program? I apply in a month to begin classes in January.
