  1. I accepted my admission to start this fall, but I will be attending another school... so hopefully one of you guys can take my spot!
  2. I live on the Anaheim/GG border and I received my acceptance letter for Spring 2017. However, I'll be declining my spot, so good luck to everyone else!!!
  3. I agree. I am able to learn by myself but i have found that when i take online classes, i don't retain as much as i would in a actual class because there is no professor or classmates around you. and i feel it is easier to get a good grade because you can get by doing things that you wouldn't be able to do in the actual classroom. how important is it in having a solid foundation in pharm and pathophysiology for the upcoming courses? if the other upcoming courses do not heavily depend on these 2 courses, then i may just take it online. btw, thanks again your advices!
  4. thanks for the tip! one last thing I forgot to mention. Both those classes i found are online courses. with that said, I'm afraid that taking it online, I will not be able to thoroughly learn the material because I can just zoom past the lessons. I don't mind doing that as long as I get an A, but do you think this will affect me when I study to take the NCLEX, or just even the knowledge I should have as a nurse? pretty much what I'm trying to say is, I don't think I will really learn the subjects taking it online, and is that okay? thanks again

  6. Hello~ I am about to start the nursing program at CSULB this fall, and I wanted to ask those of you who are in the program a question! I'm debating whether or not I should take pathophysiology and/or pharmacology this summer before the program because I found an availability at an approved school and just think it would make my 1st semester more "easier." However, I realized that money-wise, I would actually be spending more taking it at a CC during the summer because tuition at CSULB is the same once it's past 7 units. What do you guys think? For those who did, how difficult was it taking both those courses together with clinicals and all that? Would you recommend taking them before the program begins even though I will be paying slightly more? Thanks in advance!!

  11. just out of curiosity, is there anyone that got accepted but didn't get all As in their science pre-reqs?
  12. hey guys, just out of curiosity. is there anyone who got accepted that didn't get all As on the science prereqs??
  13. If you accept the admission but then decide that you need to decline later, is there some penalty? that is allowed, right?
  14. I've noticed some of you guys are debating between GWC & SAC but leaning more towards GWC. do you guys mind sharing your reasoning behind this? I too applied to both and don't know which one to go to if I get accepted to both.
  15. Thank you :) that is the school I am leaning towards. But... I may also want to take the more economical approach.. Does anyone know a close estimate of how much the tuition for the nursing program is at SAC? Just tuition, not any extra fees
  16. I also got an acceptance letter! I had 86.5 points.
  17. I received my rejection letter today. fortunately I will be starting this fall at CSULB! good luck everyone~
  18. yeah I was expecting them to send letters out late April or early May. well congrats to u! good luck to everyone else.
  19. I will most likely be turning down my summer spot to attend another school. good luck everyone!
  20. Actually I just got ahold of that approved pharm/pathophys pdf and that school wasn't on there lol. I may try to take pharm @ gwc this summer though! @genevera - yeah the CSULB email I received didn't mention anything about transcripts neither does MyCSULB. it's probably cause I had to send that all in before to show proof of my bachelor's degree. just to double check though, where on mycsulb did it say to send in the transcripts?
  21. Thanks for the tip!
  22. Right. But if we have to take 4 required courses the 1st semester, and complete one before the program begins, we would only have to take 3 courses which allows more leisure and time. Hmm, i didn't receive that sort of e-mail. Could be because I am a 2nd bach?
  23. Oh okay I see. Thanks for the clarification. Do you think it would be too much to take both classes during the summer semester? I found one as an online course.
  24. Gotcha. Yeah I feel like it would be a good idea to try to get at least 1 of those classes out of the way so we have some more "leisure" during that semester. Also, I noticed in the previous posts something about sending in your transcripts. They didn't tell us to do that yet, did they? I've already accepted on MyCSULB but haven't done any other steps... just waiting for the next e-mail. Feel un-easy just waiting around! lol
