I am trying to apply to take my NCLEX in California. I have all my documents except for the Diploma Verification Form. But on the list of deficiencies it says I DO NOT need to submit this form if I have my Philippine nursing license, if I am understanding correctly. Has anyone been able to take the NCLEX by just submitting their license? Thank you in advanced.

I didn't really follow a format...I just explained what reviews I am taking how many hours a day & questions I was doing, just a very detailed plan! once I emailed her my plan, she told me to inform her when I completed my plan of study & when I did finish it & informed her she approved it & I received my ATT right away!

hey! sorry for the late reply, yes she did approve me once I notified her I thought I was ready to take it & my ATT came right away! & I emailed the director of nursing education

I did not find a format but I just described my plan of study as detailed as possible (which reviewing materials I am using and how many hours a day of studying I am putting in) and I mailed it to the Nevada Board of Nursing. A couple days ago Catherine Prato e-mailed me asking me to e-mail her my Plan of Study so I did and she told me to e-mail her once I feel confident enough to pass the exam, only then will she approve my plan of study and then my ATT will be released. hello, I've failed my NCLEX twice, and I'm trying to take it again but the Nevada State Board of Nursing won't let me until I send then a plan of study. NAC 632.165  Procedure for writing examination after initial attempt 1.  An applicant for licensing as a registered nurse or as a practical nurse may write the examination four times. 2.  If the applicant is unsuccessful on the second attempt, before he or she may write the examination for the third time, the applicant must present to the Board a plan of study, acceptable to the Board, for preparation to write the examination. 3.  If the applicant is unsuccessful on the third attempt, the applicant must repeat courses in nursing theory in a nursing program approved by the Board before he or she may write the examination for the fourth time. If board staff approves your plan, you must do the following: a. Submit a new application and fee to the testing service. This information is found in the NCLEX Candidate Bulletin, which can be found at www.pearsonvue.com/nclex Does anyone happen to have a format for a plan of study? Or has anyone submitted one before? How the cover sheet is supposed to be? Who's it's addressed to exactly? Thanks in advanced :)

I am a dual citizen, I just graduated this year in March, & I passed PNLE I took this May. I don't intend on applying in California because I've read numerous cases of being denied & whatnot. Although, someone that graduated last year from a different school just got her approval to take the NCLEX in California, so it doesn't seem completely impossible haha, but I already had planned to apply to Nevada or Washington but who knows California could work out if I can survive all this paperwork haha. I know those states do not require passing the PNLE but since I passed and will miss oath taking here & won't be able to register for my license since my flight is already this weekend I was wondering if I could do all that stuff in LA & what I would need :) I read I need my board rating (which hasn't been released yet) & PRC oath taking form (I have no idea if I can get this online or not), but yeah that's from what I've read.

oh I'm from California so my reason to coming to LA is to just come home haha, I don't intend on working there because I'm aware of all the struggles and stuff, I'm just wondering about the oath taking & the registration process if I were to do it in LA, I'm also aware of the CGFNS process, I'm just confused about the license registration

did you need any other paperwork other than your board results? I just got the results of my exam last Tuesday & I passed! But my flight back to LA is on Sunday already! Am I able to register for my license in LA?

hello, I just passed the PNLE, the results just came out last Tuesday & my flight back home to California is on Sunday already. I just wanted to say thank you for all this information because I was freaking out about the oath taking and registration & all that. I have one more question though, were you able to just get the oath form from PRC even though registration isn't even open yet? Thanks in advanced!
