Sample voicemail greeting for an oncall runner for hospice
That is actually a good one too. I ended up with Thank you for calling *** hospice after-hours service. Please leave your name, phone number, and a brief description of your call and we'll have someone reach out to you as soon as possible. Thank you Thanks everyone!

Sample voicemail greeting for an oncall runner for hospice
When I tried calling myself that's what I actually noticed haha, thanks for pointing that out. I'll leave the last part out and stick with the other parts. Thanks!

Sample voicemail greeting for an oncall runner for hospice
Hi! I'm a new runner for a hospice company and they gave me the task of answering calls afterhours and on weekends. I answer the phone as soon as I can, but for some instances where I am away from my phone and a call comes in and goes to voicemail, what's a good greeting to put for the voicemail? Currently I have it at" Thank you for calling *** hospice. Please leave your name, phone number, and a brief description of your call and we'll have someone call you back as soon as possible. Thank you, have a wonderful day." Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

New Grad Nurse Arrogance
passing NCLEX =/= being an excellent nurse. Field experience is so different from school. What helps a nurse the most to become effective and successful is attitude. Being open to new learning and admitting mistakes. Nursing is, after all, a lifelong learning process. Yes I agree, she should take at least a few weeks of vacation and reprioritize. Or have her first job. She'll have such a surprise when she starts like that :))

BS 94, Lantus 20 units, give HS snack?
True. Not every patient has the same tolerance to insulin. I have had patients who react sharply to humulin or lantus, and those who does not. I even had a patient with BS of around 120 hs, then called the noc nurse at around 4 am with a bs of around 60, though it only happens sometimes. If the other nurse reacted that way towards you, there might have been something with that patient with regards to his/her insulin sensitivity. Ask ask ask your superiors/incoming and co-nurses who are involved in patient care, check history. I applaud op for being aware of the issue and taking steps.

Missed NCLEX-PN appointment
yes, you forfeit EVERYTHING except the documents you sent them. I didn't wait that long to get my ATT again from BVNPT, maybe like 2 to 3 weeks? Something like that.

Missed NCLEX-PN appointment
so what I did after was: 1. Contact BoN/BVNPT about the missed appointment 2. You will receive a new application form (it was orange for me) and pay the application fee again (150$ or depending on your state). 3. You have to wait until they send you a new ATT. 4. Re-register to Pearson Vue for a new appointment (you have to pay registration fees again) Basically, you will repeat all the steps when you first applied minus the paperworks you sent them before (transcripts, etc.)

LVN covering as caregiver for a shift
I've been feeling uneasy about it these past few days, I only covered once with that rate since it's an "emergency", but yeah, I felt like being taken advantage of. It's really disincentive to be honest. Thank you

LVN covering as caregiver for a shift
I'm an LVN, working in an assisted living facility in southern CA. So my boss asked me to cover a few shifts or to cover a caregiver when they call out, not available, etc. Since there would be 2 LVNs in the same shift when I cover, they offered to pay me at half my original pay as LVN, similar to that of a caregiver's pay. Is it not ok for the facility to do this? Or it's still ok as I'm working different job codes when I clock in (1 as LVN, the other as caregiver when I fill in for others' absence). I do have 1 resident who needs his colostomy bag changed when it has to, or do I pass that responsibility to the other LVN on duty since I'm only working as caregiver on that shift.

Missed NCLEX-PN appointment
UPDATE: Checked my profile in pearson and it already shows "No Show" (checked > 12 hours after scheduled appt) Tried to re-register and it went through. Paid the fee ($200) and got the usual email after you register. I'm now waiting for the ATT to be emailed or if CA BVNPT will request any additional stuff. Still waiting for CA BVNPT and Pearson to reply to my earlier emails. =p

Missed NCLEX-PN appointment
I get that I forfeit the ATT and fee. But do I forfeit the eligibility as well even though it's still good through Oct 20? And how many days do I have to wait before I can re-register?

Missed NCLEX-PN appointment
So I was sent away today (June 25, 2015) due to insufficient ID issues, the notice didn't specify to bring EVERY piece of ID if you're testing at a foreign site. I brought everything (green card, driver's license, SSN, state ID) BUT the passport. And I can't go back even though the location is a 30-minute drive away, the crippling traffic made it 1 - 2 hours to get there. My eligibility from CA BVNPT is still good through October 20, 2015. I have no qualms about paying the fees again, because it's really my fault for not bringing every piece of ID that I had to the test site. The question is, is my eligibility forfeited even though the expiration is October 20,2015? or is it only the ATT that is forfeited? And when and how will I be able to re-schedule an appointment to re-take the exam? I already contacted BVNPT and Pearson Vue, just gonna see what you guys think while waiting for a reply.
