  1. Hey Spontty, I sent you a message, if you want to still meet, we could meet in HUB. Not sure if you got the message.
  2. Hey Spontty, No problem! We can meetup Jan. 15 if you want, at the Starbucks in the ECHA building. I can give you some pointers, tips, and what to expect! And anyone can come and join if you want some more information!
  3. Hey natti760, I was also apprehensive towards this program from all of the posts about CBL where "students teach themselves everything and the professors do nothing". That is what I gathered before starting the school. BUT I have not found that at all. There are lectures and we learn the same way. There is one class where it's a seminar class and we are presented with an example, say a patient has diabetes, and we discuss what we are going to do/teach to this patient as a nurse. I find it useful and it's more a discussion-based class. That is what I think previous classmates are referring to. It is just one seminar class and it's useful all the different aspects of nursing. We aren't tested on what others present. Although I really don't like this class (Nursing theory) but it is useful for the future.
  4. Good luck everyone! I am in the first year of the after degree program and it is great! If you have any questions, let me know.
  5. Do we need to buy a stethoscope before class?
  6. They are allowing the Honors program for AD now! This is the first year. Sorry, I believe it's the CBL format? I read that the lectures were self-taught rather than professor teaching. I was hoping they would get away from the self-learning and towards the professor teaching.
  7. Thank you so much Jamay10 for the information! But everyone should apply, just in case!! Jamay10, is the program still using the self-learning format? I've heard from other people posting that they went away from that. I just want to be sure! Thank you!
  8. It's NOT a guaranteed acceptance but if you have 3.3 then it's a good chance. On their website it says 3.0 GPA is the minimum and someone on this website said 3.3. If you have 3.5 or higher then I would say you're in. Also a lot of the scholarships say they need a minimum 3.3. Just apply! Don't be discouraged.
  9. Hey nini.mango, Don't be discouraged! ALWAYS APPLY! If you have the minimum, 3.0 out of 4.0 then apply! If you have 3.3 then there's a good chance!
  10. i was just researching it and I had no idea they offered this! The deadline says March 31st but I will email them!!! Thanks for the information! That would be great because, from what I can understand, it offers a research component as well.
  11. Hey Koi Koi. I applied for the after degree program!
  12. Hey Hodan07, I have a Masters in Neuroscience so I'm not sure how they calculated my GPA but the last two years of my undergrad was 3.8. Good luck!!
  13. Just got conditional acceptance!!!!!!!! Woohoo! See you all September 2016!
  14. I just started the BIO 325 Microbiology course for my prereq. I don't like it! You just read an online text. I thought there would at least be some lecture to watch or something. Good luck to everyone applying! I applied already but it will still be in progress till the micro is finished
