  1. I do!!!! How exciting! If we have the earlier orientation time - do we have a better chance of getting into the campus that we want?
  2. I was rolled over from the Fall 2015 applicant pool.
  3. Pre-admission means you got in.
  4. @Mapachita you had a 139 previously and did not get offered a spot? Or, did you retake something to boost your score?
  5. She knows for sure because she is apart of Admissions. Notice the last name in the screen name?
  6. There were like three pages attached to the original application that was turned in. It just mentions the Oct 9 meeting for all accepted students and a little heads up about class schedules and expectations.
  7. Application submitted! Woooo. Now time to wait. They gave out a nice little information packet though.
  8. I know it's so nerve wrecking knowing that it is all out of our hands for now. Makes me wish there was something else I could do to get a few extra safety points. But hey, from what we've heard, 80 is a magic number!
  9. I was told that there has never been a student with a score of at least 80, meeting all the requirements for admission that has not gotten into the program. Looks like we should be classmates in the Spring (knock on wood). I'm being optimistic!
  10. I did it myself. I have an 80 on the TEAS, 2.6 overall GPA, and 3.1 prereq GPA, and a Bachelors. 121.5 is awesome. From what I have gathered, information from the department, it seems like anything above a 110 is good.
  11. I have 112.5 points. Is that what you were asking? What do you have?
  12. Hello people! Since no one has begun a thread for those that have applied or intend on going to Polk State College beginning January 2016, let's use this as a forum for questions and meet other students prior to starting.
  13. Based off what I experienced for an August start here at Broward, the only thing that really matter is your pre-req gpa. If you share a GPA with other students towards the bottom of the totem poll (they only take 300ish students), only then will they look at your HESI scores. If if you have a low pre-req GPA, I hope you have high HESI scores. The system they use to rank the best, most qualified students, to me seems a little unfair since the HESI is the only standardized test that can accurately rank student knowledge of subject material since pre-reqs can be take at so many different instructions where there can be varied levels of knowledge of the subject material. However, that is just my just my personal opinion. I have since then decided to apply to other programs so we shall see. I wish everyone the best of luck. I had a lower pre-req GPA, a 90% HESI, and a bachelors degree in different field. Let's see if I have better luck this time.
  14. Hmmm. I know my application was submitted late, and it still says Application In Review.. I wonder if it's basically prolonging a "Denied" or if they are being revised and updated in batches.
