So -- I was waitlisted but just got a call that I am now ACCEPTED to the OKC campus! Orientation is tomorrow. Is there anyone else on here going tomorrow for orientation? Thanks.

Thinking out loud here. I am wondering what the application status on OU Apps says if someone is waitlisted? Wonder if it still shows as "pending" or if the application disappears from the screen. Hmmm. Going nuts over here lol.

I went and checked my OU Apps page and it says "Pending" as well. I only applied to the OKC campus, so I am automatically nervous and over analyzing WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?! Good luck to everyone! Just knowing one way or another will help with our anxiety levels.

Ah okay. Thanks for the clarification. How many pre-req's were you lacking when you applied last year? Were your GPA"s strong?

So if you are waitlisted -- does the letter explain why they made that decision or no??

I hope so! I am going crazy over here not knowing. How many times can you check your email in one day, right? I should keep a running tally! Of course, disappointment if not accepted, but at least we'll have an answer and can go from there!

FYI: Received feedback from the College of Nursing advisor. She said ABSN decisions "shouldn't be too much longer, we usually target for the end of November to release decisions". Didn't specify which campuses, just asked in general about ABSN.

Did she say if results for all campuses were going out...? I would assume so. I applied to OKC ABSN only with decent GPA's, all but one pre-req done (I'm in it now) and Masters work. Not feeling too confident! No email yet for me! Thanks for the update.

Awesome GPA's! I honestly don't think you have anything to worry about! I have always read that notification emails/letters are sent out around mid-November... usually before Thanksgiving. Here are the stats from last year:

I have read through the majority of this post with comments how the medical team tells the parents that resuscitation or intubating is unnecessary/more or less pointless. Honestly, it makes me so sad. HERE'S WHY: I was born at 23-24 weeks in 1986. I weighed 1 pound, 12 ounces. I had a long 3 month battle in the NICU and was on oxygen for a full year after leaving the hospital to go home. The doctors explained to my parents that I would probably be blind (my eyes were still fused), deaf, and/or have cerebral palsy. Since my lungs were obviously so under-developed, I would blow holes in them several times throughout my NICU stay, and I would have to be rushed to emergency surgery to repair them. My parents were warned that this typically causes brain bleeds, which can of course lead to a host of other complications/issues. The scans ran on my brain after every surgery consistently reported NO brain bleeds at all. There's always room for a miracle. I was more or less a guinea pig in 1986. From what I was told, they had to guess and estimate the best dosages for my size and weight, and experiment with different medications, etc. I was born in San Antonio at one of the best NICU units in Texas. I had no choice in any of my treatment, obviously, but I fought. My parents fought. My NICU nurses and doctors fought for me. And more than that, I was covered in prayer. God can still perform miracles and I know without a doubt that I am one of them. I pray for every NICU baby you guys come into contact with. A NICU miracle doesn't always mean a disaster is waiting to happen down the road, although I realize that may be your "norm". My main problems as a grown woman? I have slight scoliosis, wear contacts since my vision is so bad, and have a thyroid problem. I live a full, normal life, am happily married, and am going back to school for a second bachelor's degree for Nursing. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Hi guys. I am applying to the OU Accelerated BSN program in OKC in August. At that time, I will only be missing one science (Micro, which I am taking in the fall). Anyone else here planning to apply to the OKC campus for June 2016? ALSO -- anyone who just started the ABSN in Oklahoma City for June 2015, do you mind sharing your cumulative 60 GPA and science GPA? I have been emailing with an advisor who gave me the stats for 2013, 2014 and 2015, but wondering from folks who are actually in the program now. :) Thanks!
