Scratch that- I just checked my email...I got an automated email from UPS saying my package from Dove Aparrel is being delivered tomorrow between 10am and 2pm. So hang tight- looks like our orders are shipping.

It's weird. The same day they emailed me (Thursday) and said the scrubs were back ordered and they were expecting them on Friday, later in the day my card was charged for the full amount of my order. When I log in to check the status of my order it still says 'Submitted' but also says 'credit card will not be charged until order ships.'

I got the same email but then they charged my credit card today. But my order status still says 'Submitted.' I just hope I get them in time to get my patches sewn on.

My friend emailed the company about scrubs and they said scrubs won't ship until the last week of August.

My dr checked my titers on all my old vaccines since they had to draw blood anyway for the TB test. They came back fine on everything except Hep B, so that's the only one I have to get. I did the CPR class today at that Prism place. I'm still undecided on books.

I like having an actual book to look things up in- I guess I'm old fashioned. The price of the bundle is painful. My friend already went and bought them and they all come in a huge box. She said she about died carrying it to her car. Has anyone bought their super cute white shoes yet?

Thanks guys! She said the 2 contract Signing/orientation dates are July 21st & 24th. I tried to ask about points & cutoff and she said she couldn't tell me - she wouldn't even verify my exact points total. So dumb.

My friend with 98 pts JUST NOW got his call...keep your phones close, people! Calls have started!

My friend has 98 points and he has not received a call today.

I don't remember what the title of 189 was - it was just the pre-req for all the other required bio & Chem classes.

One of the advisors told me that if they have a tie for points they then look at how many times you took each class, including Biol 189. She said how you do your first time in Biol 189 is a good indicator to them of whether or not you can handle the most basic stuff. I think it was Sofie that told me that in one of my meetings with her.

It's going to be a long weekend.

I'm afraid they're taking tomorrow off for the holiday!!! I hope not...

Don't be freaked out. If you make a mistake during clinicals you're generally put on probation. If you no-call-no-show for clinicals you're kicked out, and if you fail 2+ classes you're out. But you'll likely be fine. My friend says they try and freak out the newbies with their policies and rattling off the failing rates or telling how many don't make it through. But just keep up the same practices you've already had to get this far and you'll be okay!!

According to the threads from last summer for the Fall 2014 program, they started making calls on July 3rd which was a Thursday. So hopefully they'll make some next week before the holiday weekend!

They won't know the cutoff when calls start being made. She told me that as they make the calls, the spots go to the first 48 who actually accept. You have to either accept or turn down the spot. She said sometimes a person who receives a call will have to say no for some reason or another, so then everyone below them moves up a spot and that opens up a spot for the 49th highest score. Does that make sense? She also said phone calls generally go on for about a week since they often have to leave voicemails for people and have to wait to hear back from them with a yes or no before they know the final cutoff. Hopefully that makes sense & doesn't sound like a jumbled explanation. í ½í¸Š
