Hi Silverdragon, yes we took up all these topics but the problem is the subjects are termed differently, eg health of children, health of adults, health of older adults, so am not really sure if the evaluating agency would consider them. I guess it depends really on how the Nursing School would fill out those evaluation forms.

I have just been a RN for more than 1 yr and haven't saved much yet to study 3 more subjects in Australian univ (could cost around $6,000 plus leave time off for clinicals). So am thinking if Texas BON will require me to do them, I'll try another state BON.

Thanks Silverdragon/Ahua. BTW Ahua, did you use the IERF? Am planning to use them. I've read in one article that you can take the lacking subjects from Deakin Univ in Melbourne. Is that where you are taking your remedial nursing course right now? Will the assessing agency (CGFNS/ERES/IERF) tell you where you need to take up your remedial nursing course? Thanks again.

Sorry Silverdragon/Miriam, am new here, what is WES? I've also got the Bachelors in Nursing from the University of South Australia (2013) and planning to apply for NCLEX in Texas for Registered Nurse. I've read somewhere that Australian Bachelors of Nursing is not equivalent to US and you need to do additional subjects in maternity, paeds and psychiatry, is it for this reason why Australian Bachelors is only equivalent to Diploma in Nursing in the US? Does it mean that if you do these three subjects CGFNS will already consider the Australian Bachelors as equivalent to USA's?
