Congratulations!!!!! That's exactly the videos I watched to prepare as well!! So relieved it's over. Just found out I passed too! yay!
  2. Yeah I thought I did! But actually I only got to the 2nd of 3 steps....so maybe I didn't finish the trick lol. Like I put in my CC info, then pressed the next button & then I didn't get the good pop up so I thought that was it...but it said "your order is not complete until you hit submit order..." So I must have done it wrong
  3. Hi everyone! So excited to report that I got my results via my state's BON website & my name was listed with my license #...I PASSED!! I took the exam on Monday, so I was able to get my results less than 48 hours after I took the test because they updated the BON website before quick results were available. Yesterday of waiting was really tough. I know that some states don't participate in quick results, etc, so I can't imagine if I would've had to wait longer than 1 day. Some of the information I read on these message boards had me really worried about my results so I just wanted to give you my version in hopes it may make some people feel better!!! I had 75 ?s and I felt like they were passing level & I felt like I was passing while I took it. I had used the Kaplan On Demand and the questions seemed easier than Kaplan. So I just felt like I was well-prepared. However, I only had a few SATA, so that kind of had me worried. And, my last 2 questions were just basic recall, which also had me worried. So while I took the exam I felt like I passed but then when I drove home I WAY over-analyzed. I started thinking about how all my classmates felt like they failed & told me I would feel that way too but I would pass. Well I didn't feel that way at all...I felt like I passed so that made me feel like maybe I really failed. My mind kept running through my questions and wondering if I answered them right & wondering if they were passing level. The waiting game is so hard and will drive you crazy haha! To make matters worse, I did the PVT trick and got the bad pop-up....so this had me even more worried!!! I put in my CC info and it was going to let me re-register for the test. So I am proof that sometimes you get the BAD pop-up and STILL PASS. I know there were posts that the trick doesn't really work anymore and it's a controversial subject, so I will just leave it that it didn't work for me and maybe it does for some people sometimes but I had thought I failed when I really passed. I checked my BON website early this morning and found out I passed. All that worry for nothing. And my gut instinct when I was taking the test was right! I just wanted to post my story because it is different than a lot of others I have read on here. I hope that it helps some of you not to over-analyze your test & think that if you only have a handful of SATA, or some easy recall questions, or that if you feel like you did WELL, that you might have actually failed, please don't worry yourself with these thoughts like I did!!!! You've got this, stay positive and have the faith!!!! Let me know if I can answer any questions!!!!
  4. Wow that is awesome and just what I needed to read the night before my NCLEX tomorrow!!! I will try to stay confident as well. CONGRATULATIONS!!!! :) :)
  5. That is absolutely CRAZY! I'm glad she got to take it 2 days later but I can't imagine how stressful that must have been. You're right, my situation could have been MUCH worse!
  6. Absolutely LOVED your post! You're so sweet. Such a great reminder! Currently in my pjs about to watch the Bachelorette :) Such a good idea to relax the night before. Thank you again for your support! :) This time tomorrow it'll be OVER!
  7. Thank you so much girl! Thinking of you :) Good luck to you too!
  8. I was supposed to take mine today at 5:30 PM but got cancelled due to water damage at the building. Now I'm driving 3 hours to take it tomorrow at 3 PM. I'm so nervous too!!!! Praying for both of us. I am sure you will do amazing!!! :) I did Kaplan too. I'm praying it helps!
  9. So as you have seen in my previous posts, I was scheduled to take my exam today at 5:30 PM. However I got an email at 12:30 PM saying my exam had been cancelled & I needed to reschedule! Needless to say I was super upset because I was provided no explanation and ALSO you know how you get your nerves ready to take an exam and I finally felt at peace just to find out it's cancelled. Also I have been studying for a month and I'm just READY to get it over with. So I got on the phone and they told me it was cancelled because of water damage at the testing center. With that being said, make sure you check your emails before you go into take your exam (even on the test day!) to make sure there have been no changes to your scheduled appointment. I found a testing date TOMORROW at 2 PM CDT, 3 PM EST (in a city 3 hours from me) so I'm packing my bags now to go stay the night. I feel blessed I actually found a test date close to me for tomorrow; otherwise I was going to have to wait til July 1st. I can't believe this happened; however I know God has a plan and I guess it is meant for me to take it tomorrow!!!!
  10. Thank you so much!!! Good luck to you too :)!!!
  11. Thank you so much for the kind words! I would love to hear an update tomorrow :) Good luck I am sure you will do AWESOME! :)
  12. I will definitely let you know and post back here (probably tomorrow)!! Good luck preparing! :)
  13. Hi everyone! I take my NCLEX tomorrow at 5:30 PM and I am SO nervous. I've been studying for the past month and used Kaplan On Demand. However I did not have time to do all the content videos but have done TONS of questions. Almost 2,000 at this point and reviewed every rationale & used Saunders to improve my weak areas. Today I have just been going over lab values & the 35 pg study guide I found off here. So....any tips for test day? Who else is taking it tomorrow? Thanks for reading!! :)
  14. Also I meant to ask, how many weeks did you spend preparing? Thanks for all the advice :)
  15. Congratulations!!! That's wonderful and has to be such a relief. I take my boards June 22. How did you study? :) Would love to hear any tips!
  16. Thanks so much for the response! So are the videos that go over all the questions the videos under the "sessions" (phase 2) in my Kaplan course? I totally know what you mean about the Kaplan book...I don't like the ebook either. I have the Saunders one from my nursing program so I will probably go through it too. I started watching the content lectures & so far I've done the pharamcology one & I'm watching the risk potential ones now. I doubt I will have time to watch them all but they seem to be helping so far. However for what I don't have time to cover I think I'll do Saunders. Thanks for your help!
  17. Hi everyone! Sorry to post so much but I find myself having tons of questions now that I've really been studying. I take the NCLEX June 22nd. I bought Kaplan On Demand. I am still in phase 1 of the class, and have finished taking & reviewing Question Trainers 1-3. The next step before phase 2 (beginning class) is a review of the content lecture videos. There are so many of them (a total about 19 hours of videos). I'm just wondering if these are super beneficial and if I should be watching them, or should I go ahead and skip to phase 2 (the actual class sessions)? I have a little over 3 weeks before the NCLEX and I know I need to be practicing tons of more questions. Just trying to pace my studies & looking for advice from anyone else who did the Kaplan On Demand! Thanks so much! :)
  18. Thank you so much for the response! That is such good advice to remember: what answer choice will keep my patient safe? Great way to think!!! So far I am really happy with Kaplan. I hope your studying goes wonderful!!! :) We are so close; we've got this! :)
  19. @nurselove408, thank you so incredibly much for taking the time to write me such a great response! This is excellent advice. And congratulations on passing :) So did you take the Kaplan On Demand review course? Are the session videos you are referring to the videos from the "phase 2" of the actual class part (the ones that are like "Pharmacology/Reduction of Risk" etc)? I know there are also videos from "phase 1" under "online content lecture." Did you go over those videos as well? Would you say that the Kaplan questions are similar to the actual NCLEX in level of difficulty, etc? Thank you so much for all your help!!!!
  20. @LadyFree28, how many questions did you practice before your actual NCLEX? Thanks for the advice!!!
  21. @RN403, thank you so much for this advice. I am afraid I won't have time to go back over my notes either so I think I am just going to focus on my weakest areas so that information will really stay with me.
  22. @Guy in Babyland, this is great advice. I definitely need to focus my studying more on my weakest areas. Thank you so much!
  23. I'm taking the On Demand Course right now! When are you taking the NCLEX? I'm trying to pace myself and studies. It's a lot of content! I take mine June 22nd.
  24. Hi everyone! So I am in the process of studying for my NCLEX that I take on June 22nd and bought the Kaplan On Demand Course and started it last week. I am having trouble pacing myself studying however and I seem to be moving too slow. Does anyone have any tips on what to do when going over rationales? For the first question trainer test I took notes on every question & rationale but it just is taking too long for the amount of time I have left to study. For those who took tests & went over rationales, do you just read over them and make sure you understand them, or do you take notes, or study more information out of the book from those topics? I'm just worried I'm not studying the way I should be! Thanks so much!
  25. I made about the same on the diagnostic, a 57%. So glad to hear your scores improved so much after studying! That's awesome. Hoping mine improves too. Great idea about calling and having it unlocked to retake it again. Do you know the correlation between passing the NCLEX & Kaplan scores? I know that I read somewhere Kaplan recommends above a 65%.
