  1. Hello! Ive been a nurse for two years on a very critical and busy cardiac floor. I’ve always wanted to be in the NI, but wanted to get some basic experience first and today I finally got the call I’ve been waiting for and accepted a job offer at a level 3 NICU!! I’m excited and nervous as to be expected... but was wondering if there were any other medsurg to nicu nurses out there that can give advice or any heads up on major things that will be different. Obviously I know it’s an entirely different world in the NI, but if there was anything that stood out to you I’d love to hear it just so I can try to mentally prepare for the change!! thanks so much!!
  2. I found it and am all set!! Thanks again!
  3. I just pissed off a very cranky mail man, but I got in!!!!!! SO excited! 4.0 and an 81 and Congrats to everyone else who got in! My name is Crystal Holland for the face book page Thanks for making it @jesster1414
  4. Thats really weird...What did you get in those classes? If you don't mind sharing.
  5. Hey to the people who got in, does it come in just a small regular skinny envelope? Lol
  6. @Kristi1986 I'm planning on doing that lol
  7. I just called my post office in clinton. Twp and she said there's no way of getting it early since I waited so long to call my mail doesnt get delieverd until around 5! im so nervous I can barely breathe! Lol
  8. @kristi1986 very well put. I completely agree! Anyone who keeps trying and never gives up will get to where they wanna be. You got this.
  9. Oh I believe the course work is harder I mean it is a university lol I was only talking about the standards of getting in seeing as none of us are in macombs program and can't truly compare the two standards of the class work. As far as the pre reqs I was going to apply this year but decided against it due to funds and it was surprising a lot shorter than even oaklands. I was shocked. But it is still longer than macombs I will agree there I'm excited too! I'm a nervous wreck but can't wait to see what that letter says!
  10. I do agree that the standards should be high because of how important nursing is, however most university's standards are much lower than macombs due to the fact that macomb is super competitive because of how cheap and fast their nursing program is. Places like msu and u of d have an extremely low gpa minimum and they accept a ton of people simply because they can afford it. So while I am glad macomb is cheap and fast I hate that it is as well because that raises the standards that much more.not that that is a bad thing, just a more stressful thing haha
  11. Ahh I hope so. Thank you for doing that. And no I don't, just me sadly
  12. 4.00 and an 81 im freaking out about my hesi score
