Hi! I'm currently an FIU nursing student, hopefully I can help you out. The community service hours will definitely help you out, as will a great video and TEAS score. You definitely still have a chance, although I'd say most people admitted have between a 3.7-3.8. If anything, you might be wait listed. But don't give up! I'd say at least 15 people in the program got in off the wait list, there's always hope :)

Hey everyone! I'm currently in FIU's program, so I figured that I'll clear some things up for you all. There's at least 15-20 people that got in from the wait list, so not everyone accepts their invitation. I got my acceptance letter via email in late May. Just keep checking your FIU email! Everyone who isn't part of the initial 100 accepted will get an email saying they they have been wait listed. My GPA was a 4.0 at the time I applied, but a lot of my peers are at the 3.6-3.8ish range. I even know some 3.4's, 3.5's. Honestly, you are pretty much guaranteed a spot if your GPA is 3.8+.
