Hi BCnewgrad, I been there. When I graduated it was difficult to secure a job in Vancouver especially since I did not work as an ESN. I tried to apply to all the health authorities but it was a very slow process. Sometimes, you do not hear anything at all. Instead, I end up applying for a private company working at a long term care facility. I worked with them for approximate one year, and then reapplied to VCH. Since I had previous experience working with the geriatric, they hired me for their long term care facility. Once you have some experience working as a nurse in Canada, finding a job is much easier.
