  1. I called yesterday, they said that they were going to send out all the acceptances closer to May 1 because of the high number of applicants
  2. Mine is still pending and I applied PNP. I feel you, I'm just ready for an answer already!
  3. I was just wondering if anyone has gone through the CRNA program at Otterbein University in Ohio. Is it a pretty good program? Do they give you adequate clinical experiences? Any feedback would be great!
  4. Nursing is my second degree, my first was in film so any science was way off my radar. That being said, I do not think nursing school is hard. It is challenging in that they throw so many things at you, that you need to be able to manage your time well. My personal opinion is that a lot of things the faculty throw at you is just busy work. A typical day is going to vary based on your program and progression through your degree. I am enrolled in a 18month BSN program, so my first semester was pretty hectic with two semesters worth of classes crammed into one. Generally though, you have one or two days of diadactic and between 2 and 3 clinical days lasting anywhere from 4-8 hours depending on unit or faculty. Studying wise... the first two semesters I dedicated more time to studying, maybe 10 hours a week, but that has long since declined. I have maintained a 3.8 or higer while in school. This 10 hours does not include time for preplanning/careplanning on clinical patients which could be anywhere from 2-3 hours per patient. Honestly, I expeced nursing school to be much harder in terms of content (as I said I came from a film backgroung) but it is really more challenging in the time management department. If you can manage your time wisely I think you will be a head of the game.
