Summer 2018- UT Health Science center pacesetter BSN program
Hello Everyone, I am preparing myself to apply for Summer 2018 pacesetter BSN program. We can use this forum for Summer 2018 applicants. I am in the process of taking Hesi exam. I have completed all my prerequisite courses needed for the program. Little bit about me: BS in Microbiology in 2005 -GPA (3.05) MPH degree in Epidemiology in 2012-GPA (3.85) Associate degree of Science in 2017-GPA (4.0) Hesi test-will be taking it in August Working full time with City Health department as an epidemiologist specialist since last five years. I am also a mom of two boys. Got accepted to MUSC college of nursing program but declined it. Also got accepted to Johns Hopkins Entry into Masters of nursing program for Fall 2017 but had to deffer it to Fall 2018 due to financial circumstances. Trying to apply for the in-state school due to affordable tuition as well as easy commute. I really hope i can get into UT Health Science center pacesetter program as it's my first option as it's closest to me as well as it's affordable and one of the best programs in Texas.

UTHealth Nursing Spring 2017
I am very nervous about applying to this program as i see people are getting randomly accepted even when they have lower stats and people with higher stats are getting denied. I don't know if i have a chance or not. I am interested in applying for SPRING or Summer 2018. Previous bachelors degree in microbiology, previous master's degree in public health (epidemiology), working with the health department as an epidemiologist for last couple of years and now decided to have a career change My stats are: Overall GPA-3.189 (worked two jobs and took full time class so messed up my GPA) Nursing prerequisite-3.87 Prerequisite Science-4.0 Hesi a2 will be taking it again as previous score was overall 84% which is not good at all. I will be also taking TEAS 6 I got accepted by MUSC for spring 2017 but had to decline due to family circumstances. They evaluated my transcript but according to them i have to take 4 more classes even though i have already taken two of them in college. I left Joanne Mendoza message, hopefully she returns my phone call. Do u think i have any chance in getting into this particular program? Please let me know.

Texas Women University FALL 2016
What is PSI? I am planning to take my TEAS VI as they have changed it from version 5 to 6 with ATI and now i think they will be incorporating calculator also for the math section. Hope to hear from u guys. I am planning to apply for spring 2018 semester. My Stats are: Bachelors degree, Master's degree Took almost all of the prerequisite. 3.05 GPA for my undergrad 3.89 GPA for my masters 4.0 GPA in almost all my prerequisite courses which i have been taking since last two years. Now they have a CAS system which will be calculating all the GPA's and it will hurt my cumulative GPA but my prerequisite GPA is still high. I am just not sure if they will even look at my prerequisite GPA or not? or just go with CAS calculated GPA? Would love to hear from you guys

Nursing as a second career choice
Hi Everyone, I need an advice regarding my trying for nursing as my second career. I have done my Bachelors in Science with major in Microbiology (Overall GPA-3.04). Then I did my Masters in Public Health in Epidemiology (Overall GPA-3.89). I have been working as a infectious disease epidemiologist with the health department for last 3 years. Right now I am getting myself prepared for HESI2 exam for the Accelerated 12 month BSN program. Do you think I have any chances of getting into this program? I completed my BS in 2005 and MPH in 2012. I recently took Anatomy and Physiology (8 semester credit hours) as well as microbiology (4 semester credit hours) and got all A's. I work full time as well and I am a mom of two toddlers. I also started doing volunteer service since last year as I thought it might help me in getting an edge. I have a low undergraduate GPA and that's what worries me and that was the other reason I took A&P and microbiology recently. I still have to take government courses and visual art elective for my program. Please be honest in telling me if I have a good chance in getting accepted to the accelerated BSN 12 month program(UT health Science center) I am aiming for?
