George Mason University (GMU) Accelerated BSN Fall 2016
Hi, I was accepted to the accelerated program for 2015. I was quite shocked, as I didn't think my grades were good enough. My undergraduate GPA was a 2.6. I had to take all of my prerequisites again and I managed A's in everything except A&P I and II. A&P I, I had to repeat. I took that online through NOVA, got a D the first time around and managed a B the second time around. My HESI score was a 88% overall. I think my video was decent, along with my essay and resume. Please don't get hung up on grades. I definitely think they are looking at more than just grades. The professors and administrators of the program are great! Good luck to you all! Hopefully you'll find out next month. I found out by email the end of March last year.

GMU accelerated BSN Fall 2015
Hi mnm1018, I emailed my agreement a few days ago and have not heard anything yet. I also dropped it in the mail as well, just in case. I know they receive a lot of email, so maybe we will hear something next week. I guess you could always call to make sure. They're always very helpful over the phone.

Hi Talfan, I haven't heard of the Mason Patriot Prelude. I'm just planning on doing the regular orientation though. Morjayne4-That's great that you were given a second chance. It's also nice to find out that they do an evening transfer orientation. I hope to be able to register for one in the next few days after my payment has been processed.

GMU accelerated BSN Fall 2015
Hi CHBlake, Have you received your general acceptance letter from George Mason University? The general acceptance from Mason will come with a small info packet that talks about the $250 fee. It's paid to the university, not the nursing program. Congratulations on being accepted! Amanda

GMU accelerated BSN Fall 2015
Hi Talfan, Yes, it does look like what you mentioned, all you had to do was submit an application to Mason stating that you had a bachelor's degree with your transcripts when you applied several months ago. I was told that I already had a MCC waiver and there was nothing further I needed to do. I paid my $250 enrollment fee online last night. My next step is to register for an orientation session after the enrollment fee has been processed. I haven't been able to figure out how to set up a Mason email yet. I'm assuming after you register for an orientation session, you'll receive instructions on that. I graduated from Mason back in 2005, with a degree in marketing, but I feel like so much has changed at Mason since then. I'm so excited to be heading back to Mason though! Amanda

Thank you for the clarification. I did email the admissions office about it as well, but haven't heard back yet. I'll let you know if I hear anything differently. I just want to make sure I'm doing everything correctly. I'm still on cloud nine. I didn't think I would get accepted, as my grades and HESI scores weren't the best. I guess the video and essay helped out a lot! Congratulations to all that have been accepted. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone this coming August!

Hi Everyone, I also received my email yesterday saying that I got in! I'm so excited! Talfan, I also have that MCC waiver pending checked off on my agreement as well. I have no idea what it means. The admissions office was not able to give you any insight?
