I interviewed 8/7 - which I felt like I bombed!! but got the reference check email later that night. Reference surveys completed as of yesterday evening, so now I wait. I am just praying it all works out!!! Please, please, please!

I'm a ball of emotions! The next 3 years are going to be crazy, you guys. I really want to do well and be the best nurse I can be. I know it's going to be a long, hard road - but I'm prepared to give it my all. We are going to need to support the hell out of each other!

It takes a few days. Admissions will forward a list of students who have paid their ITE, and then the official letter of acceptance from the SON comes!

Don't fret, Angel! Some people will decline. Hang in there!

I'm obsessively checking my WebPortal now:ninja: anyone else? There isn't a formal waitlist, but they do have alternates. The admissions counselor who did the orientation said every year about 30 people will initially accept only to decline later. He said some students will initially be rejected (not waitlisted), and later offered a spot. So if your stats are good, and you don't get in, don't fret - there may still be hope!

I asked exactly that, and yes! :)

Ummmm...I called again they said they had submitted their list to the university and that our status in WebPortal should be updated by tomorrow. Once we accept admission to the university generally, then we will get our acceptance letter to the SON. This is happening, folks! Best of luck to everyone!

There is no intent to enroll required by SDSU SON until you've been offered a spot.

They discussed the number of applicants at orientation. As far as the selection process is concerned, they simplified it for themselves by disallowing points for volunteer experience, not allowing letters of recommendation or personal statements, and making it entirely a numbers game. It's simply a matter of academic performance. It's rough out there! Applicants had better be on their a-game, or forget about it. The struggle is real, haha.

I don't think they mean to be jerks about it, of course. But with 1,000+ applicants, they don't really have to concern themselves with our issues. Still sucks though This is the only school I applied to, so I don't feel the pressure as much as some of you. I either get in or I don't.

I don't think it really matters to them. They have so many qualified candidates that if a portion of their applicants either can't or aren't willing to wait, it's no loss to them. They understand fully that we're at their mercy. The ball is in their court, for sure!

I called yesterday and they said end of this week, early next week. I think we're dealing with a moving target though. I am local, but feel horrible for those that are from out of town. Doubly agonizing, perhaps
