  1. Hi Hailey! There is an NAU CEP group on Facebook, and that is all I have been able to find! I will be there Monday! Look forward to meeting you! :) Krystal C. 💉💕
  2. I start 8/31 and I have major cold feet, too. I always think 'can I really do this? Am I going to be as great as a nurse as I hope I will be?' I have a feeling so many other students are feeling the same way as us, and hopefully this will bring our classmates even closer together earlier. Good luck to all of us! We will do great and accomplish many things!!! :) Krystal C. 💉💕
  3. Congrats! I start 8/31. I'm pretty anxious. But we don't even get our schedules until next week, I'm starting to grow impatient haha! Good luck to you in school!! :) Krystal C. 💉💕
  4. I need a white board though. I used it for prereqs and I have two presently one for my calendar and one blank one. I use it for a to do list, and study list. I have a few colors so I color code my classes and I can have a running to do list (what to study for test, or a large project broken in to steps) and I have a due this week list. I love checking stuff off, it makes me feel like I am doing something even though I am just sitting at a desk staring at a text book. I study some at school. I like the private study desks in the library and in the study rooms as a group to review for tests. But I do a bulk of my studying at home. I have kids and I like taking 15 min working, taking a break making dinner. Then after they go to bed taking another hour or so. Or getting up early. I found that when I had a desk in my room i still studied on the dinning room table more often than no so I felt part of things. My office bedroom became more of a organizing/command center but I didn't work there much. I studied so much I didn't feel part of the rest of the house anymore. This is great! Thanks for the tips! I just got a cute glass board (white board) from ikea. I'll have to post a pic. It was only $20 I believe and it's more appealing to the eye than a regular whiteboard - the only reason I want that is because it's in my room and not a separate office on its own! :) trying to keep it cute, yet, effective!! Krystal C. 💉💕
  5. Thank you for the advice! I am not sure what I will like more, but i live about an hour from campus so I wanted to make sure I had the option to study at home if possible and a space to do so. I'm hoping I have amazing people in my cohort that will want to study together but I'm not sure yet how it will go. :) Krystal C. 💉💕
  6. Okay! I am almost finished with my new room/study space. Here is where I'm at so far: One is when you're looking into my room, the other is the view from desk. (It was nighttime and dark when I took it!) I still have shelves and decor to get, but overall I feel this is a wonderful space! I actually love it! 😁 Krystal C. 💉💕
  7. I agree the two previous posters, actually. They both bring valid points. But as a student about to embark on my BSN journey, my total degree will cost me 15K roughly. I for one, could not imagine paying over100K for a nursing degree. Law school? Sure. Med school? Sure. But that's because there aren't many cheaper alternatives for those types of degree programs. For nursing, there are. I would think long term, and how you imagine your life once you graduate. If you don't want to worry about debt and have it hinder your life in certain aspects, I say don't do it. But, if you don't mind and this program feels right for YOU, then go for it! Good luck to you!! :) Krystal C. 💉💕
  8. What a great space! I love it!! Thank you for sharing :) Krystal C. 💉💕
  9. That sounds adorable! Do you have a picture of your space? That's basically what I am looking to do. I have a small little desk that will fit nicely next to my bed. It'll be tight, but it should work. Krystal C. 💉💕
  10. That's a great idea, I could do this in addition to the indoor space (I live in Arizona so the nice days get limited more than less! Haha) but regardless, being outside would be a great place to study and read! Krystal C. 💉💕
  11. Thank you for the advice! I totally agree with you, unfortunately I live back home with my parents and my only space and privacy is my room. so, I'm not sure what else would work. Krystal C. 💉💕
  12. I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!! Krystal C. 💉💕
  13. Awesome! Me too!! Congratulations. I hope we love it and meet amazing life long friends! Krystal C. 💉💕
  14. That looks really good! Are you done with your degree or are you in the program still? Krystal C. 💉💕
  15. Thank you so much! I love this idea. These are the type of tips I was hoping for! I really appreciate it! :) Krystal C. 💉💕
  16. Hi all, I am about to start nursing school on 8/31. I am trying to prepare for the amount of studying I will be enduring the next two years of this journey, and I am trying to make an office space in my already tight bedroom. My room is 11x12 with a queen sized bed in it. I have finally cleaned out and organized my entire room and am trying devise a plan on where to put a study space that is 'welcoming' in a sense. What I am wondering from all of you is if you have any tips or advice on what type of organizers (whiteboards, chalkboards, shelving, cabinets, large desk, etc) have worked best for you and your personal experiences. How much time did you spend studying at home versus on campus and with other students? I am aware this is a bit of a weird question, but I need to get an idea on what type of space will be beneficial and if investing in this should be a higher priority or not based on how much a private study space was utilized by other students. I really appreciate any feedback you all may have! :) Krystal C. 💉💕
  17. Me too! Congrats! And good luck!! :) Krystal C. 💉💕
  18. I sent you a message! (I think!) haha Krystal C. 💉💕
