  1. Its not that I wouldn't have become a nurse anyway b/c I truly felt compelled to do this. I am a researcher and like to know everything before committing myself to something but I was given very little information and I called the BON and asked. Im just upset. I feel like just keeping my head down fulfilling my contract requirements then let my license lapse, not gonna be worth anything anyhow. In the meantime, ill be completing my major in a different area.
  2. They should tell you before you commit yourself to a nursing program that if you had any previous arrests or convictions that nursing has to be the thing you most wanted in your entire life. And yes it is achievable, but you have to be willing to invest a lot of time and money.
  3. Just signed my contract for 2 years recently. Your comments are encouraging, but at this moment everything seems overwhelming. At this time I am upset and angry, mostly at myself, but I feel a bit railroaded. I had a previous DUI conviction before I even knew I wanted to become a nurse. The DUI is actually what saved me and made want to turn my life around, and now its become what defines me. I graduated 2 years ago, but have yet to practice one day of nursing.
