I took my TEAS V test today and I do not get the results for 48 business hrs... I am worried, I used several reference materials and online websites, videos etc and let me tell you that I had a hard time with science and that is the one area I was over confident in but the test did not even come close to every practice test I took as the actual exam was much much harder... I had questions on things none of the manual ever covered. The wording on the test was hard as well, I had to reread the questions because they were not even clear. Don't think you will have questions because I felt the way it was worded that it left the answers to be open to two correct choice... I am telling you I had the Barron's 5 Test, the McGraw Study Guide, the ATI Manual, C-12 Biology which was over 1,300 pages and I read every page, printed every flashcard, rewrote the flashcard (for memory purpose), bought 4 iPhone TEAS apps, etc. and none of those prepared me for 90% of the science questions. None resembled the actual exam style either. I am sitting here wondering what test everyone else received because everything I read states that it is similar. I even came back home and looked in the ATI manual regarding one of the questions that I was going WTH and I didn't see it in manual so I googled it and had a hard time finding the exact details I needed... I can only take this test twice in one year for the school I want to go to so I hope I pass even if it is barely otherwise I may have to find a different school.... Math was easier than the books, English and Reading were the same as the books. In actualality I think this test is ridiculous as a starting point to get into Nursing, they say it is to test how well of student you will be but that is BS because I have a degree already and i was top of my class so I am a good student and this test can't imply otherwise if I don't get a high score.... I think if you have a degree already you shouldn't have to take a PRETEST... If I knew all about some of this stuff I guess I wouldn't need to be wanting to go to nursing school... Maybe I am just frustrated because I don't think the material they offer is enough and they should better advice and give resources that fully cover the things on the test....
