Good idea?
Actually I'm thinking of getting my associates instead at a community college. It's super hard to get in but I was thinking of next semester doing the pre-reques. Study for the TEAS test and apply next fall (to get into the spring 2017 one). Hopefully it all works out. Then later just to a ADN-BSN program. I feel like that is the cheapest way I can do it, and be done by the time I'm 26 the most. And thanks for the info I truly appreciate it! I did more research and it would cost me soooo much to go to MU! I'm just going to study and get really good grades to get accepts into the RN program next year :)

Good idea?
So getting into any type of nursing program is so difficult! Well it's not hard but there are just so many prerequisites to finish! The only university I can think of getting into is Marymount in Arlington, VA. They don't require all these prerequisites like GMU. I would consider VCU or JMU but I don't want to move away. I want to study a lot for the TEAS test to get into MU. I just don't want to waste more time taking all these prerequisites I'm about to turn 21 and I'm still at NOVA! Which sucks! I feel so bad because so many friends and old classmates are about to graduate soon and I'm still stuck in a community college. Anyway, I know MU is crazy expensive, and at this point idk what to do anymore. I'm currently a CNA and work another job and still live with my folks so hopefully I can start saving up. I just feel like I've wasted so much time and I've already taken the TEAS test for MU and I was a couple of points shy of getting a passing score, so next time will be my last shot. I feel horrible because I'm literally too dumb to get into GMU but too poor to get into MU.

BSN then PA?
Hello guys so I've been doing some research about becoming a PA and of course there's many prerequisites to take and most programs want you to have a couple of years of experience (I'm currently working as a CNA, so that's no problem). They require you to have your bachelors in science so my question is: later on, can I apply to a PA program after I get my BSN? I know it will take a while and I want to get my career set before I turn 27 the most (I'm 20 right now). I wish I would've done all of this earlier but I just wasted time in community college because I had no idea what i wanted to do. But now I know I'm 100% sure I want to become a nurse and later on a physicians assistant. I know there's no bridge BSN-PA programs BUT is it possible to become a PA later on? I know it will be very competitive and expensive but at the end it'll be worth it! Thanks!

Just took the TEAS test and...
Oh no I didn't mean it in a bad way! I actually think that anyone that goes to school at that age are actuay amazing people because it's never too late to go to school BUT i just want to start my career asap and not wait too long. I just want to start living on my own and support my parents! I did not mean to offend anyone!

Just took the TEAS test and...
Well I just took it today and no I didn't study at all so I got a very low score. Reading: 73% Math: 60% Science: 41% English & Language: 76% For the nursing school I applied to they give you two chances to take it. If you fail both in two years, you have to wait another two years to reapply all over again. I'm about to turn 20 and I don't want to be 30 still in school OMG im scared. Anyway, can someone give me study tips. I know it was very foolish of me to not study BUT I can't afford to go to nursing school until the beginning of next year anyway and I just wanted to see how it is and what I should expect for next time. The science part was Exactly what we studied for for my bio class last semester I just couldn't remember. How long should I prepare for? Any tips? Thank you!
