  1. I’m an LPN and I work in long term care. I’m content with long term care (most days LOL) but I’ve noticed that hospitals in my area are posting more and more lpn jobs by the week. As long as there’s a nursing shortage there will be lpn jobs everywhere.
  2. Thank you: ) but are there a lot of jobs in the same types of facilities for lpns and rns?
  3. I am planning on attending an LPN program starting next semester, and I've been looking at various job boards to kind of get an idea about what sort of opportunities there are after graduation. I have also been looking at RN job opportunities as well because I was planning on enrolling in a bridge program at a school in the area I would like to work in. However, after looking at the types of facilities that hire LPNs in comparison to RNs it seems as if there are more jobs for RNs in hospitals, but for LPNs everywhere else. I think I may want to work at a hospital for a time being, but I think it would be cool to get a variety of experience in a lot of different places, and choosing a long term career in a LTC facility, Urgent Care Clinic, or Government facility. So, I'm thinking now that it may just be better to get my LPN, if this is my long term goal? So, my question is to current Nurses. What do you all think? Also, are there any ways to advance/increase pay as an LPN, with different types of certifications?
