Graduate from Purdue soon, and need to relocate
I am in an AGNP program in Indiana and I expect to graduate in next May in 2016. I planned to find a job at my clinical site I am going to work in my last semester. Unfortunately, I need to relocate to South California because of my Family issue. That means I will have trouble to find an NP job as a new NP graduateï¼Should I wait after my graduation date to send applications of job searching? Or should I start early? I am anxious because most of my schoolmates would receive their job offers before they take board exams? But I have no idea where I can send applications because most jobs require np experience😓 Any suggestions or job information are appreciated!! Vicky

International nursing students in the US
I pass NCLEX and get a Visa Screen Certificate. I found an employer petition for the green card for me, and I have already worked for one month for my hospital. However, a critical problem comes now. They offer me $21/hr which is lower than the prevailing wage from EDD in our state. My lawyer said my case must be denied if I couldn't get at least the prevailing wage. Therefore, I tried to negotiate with my hospital, but they insisted the current salary. I have no idea how to do now, because my OPT is going to end on Jan 10th. How can I find another hospital around my area in such a short period before Jan and have every paper work done???? :uhoh21: Any one who knows which hospital will sponsor to apply for green card in baldwin park city area, 91706???? Emergency situation!
I am during My OPT, and it will end on January 10th. I find a hopspital who agreed to sponsor for green card for me. I have worked for one month in the hospital, but one critical question comes out now. The salary they offer me is $21/hr which is lower than the prevailing wage from EDD. My lawyer says my case must be denied if the hospital don't give me at least the same salary as the prevailing wage. Therefore, I try to negotiate with my hospital, but they insist the current salary. I don't know how to do, because I can not find another hospital and get all immigration paper done in such a short period before Jan 10th. How can I do? :imbar Vicky Yu

I am going to apply for a green card. I heard that there is a new immigration policy, which is that I 140 and I 458 can not file together. I 458 can only be filed after the approval of I 458. Does it affect a nurse who belong to schedule A? How fast will be the process? Thank you. Vicky

I need help
Dear Suzanne RN, BS, MBA, After I printed out applicant handbook of visascreen certification, I found that I don't need to apply for the visascreen certification. Instead, CGFN can perform a streamline process for foreign born applicants who receivd their entry level professional education in the U.S.. But I cann't find any package for applying for that service from their website. Do you know anything about the applicant process for the visascreen streamline process? I appreciate your help. :) :biggringi I haven't gotten the medical exam. Is it the physical exam for immigration? When should it be due? Best regard. Vicky Yu

I need help
Dear Suzanne RN, BS, MBA, Do you mean I must find an immigration attorney? Can I do everything by myself because I don't have so much deposit to hire an attorney? Sorry, no one at my school told me anything about how to apply for a green card as a nurse, I even didn't have any other foreign nurse classmates at school. The international student office in my school filed my OPT for me, and unfortunately, they didn't know anything about it either. Thank you again. :)

Thanks to Suzanne RN, BS, MBA. Your information is very helpful to me. But I don't know anything about Visa Screen Certificate. What is it? Do I need to file it when I apply for a green card? And how? Thank you.

I need help
I am in a big headache on how to change my status. I graduated from a nursing school in CA recently, passed the NECLEX and got my RN liscense. I have a work authorization now, but which is issued for my OPT and will be expired on JAN, 2006. I wonder if I start to apply for green card now, what is the process? Do I belong to an international nurse, and do I need to take any other tests again? Thanks : :imbar
