It doesn't quite feel real yet! I finished most of my pre-reqs 10 years ago, and then had to stop for various reasons. I decided this would be the year I finish them up/retake some and finally give it another try. I just turned 44, so it's nice to feel like I don't have this big unfinished goal hanging over me.

I just got my acceptance letter for the Fall 2016 registered nursing program, I wasn't expecting to hear for another few weeks! I am so excited! Anyone else hear about their programs yet? Fingers crossed for all of you that are waiting.

I'm 43 and I'm retaking A&P this summer and finishing a pre-req in the fall. If I get into my school's ADN program, I'll be starting in Fall 2016, so no, 40 isn't a big deal. I took a lot of nursing pre-reqs ten years ago and most of them transferred. I feel like I'll have more to bring to the table as a student and a nurse at this age than I would have in my 20's, honestly.
