The phone interview is mainly behavioral questions, so just practice. You'll be fine. And I received a call. People who get the position will get calls. Emails go out for rejections.

I actually heard back today! Got the job!

I think interview went great! I interviewed for the emergency department. They didn't tell me an exact date. She said that we should know by this week. There may be some units who take longer due to more open positions, so they're interviewing more candidates and those units will know by next week at the latest.

I believe that they are more focused on getting qualified applicants, so being out of state doesn't mean anything.

Yea I'm not sure what the GPA requirment is either, but I would assume since you received an in person interview you met the requirment or else they would have not advanced you to the next stage. I received my email last Thursday stating I had been invited to an interview @tink123

Nope haven't heard anything yet. I've been calling hr everyday this week lol. I've been told that we should receive an email by the end of this week. But when I spoke to sherry she said we should receive an email next week if we've been chosen for an interview. So either this week or next week.

Thanks! I can't wait until December! We briefly discussed which units I was interested in. She asked what were my top three choices. I hear they have a great NICU! After I submitted my references I got a call 2 days later, and then 2 days after that I received the reference email. The process seems to be very fast so far. I'm just so anxious waiting 2 weeks feels like 2 months! And thanks, I've been praying like crazy lol.

Unfortunately I don't. I'm still waiting to hear setting back also. I would say take your other job offer. That's what I did.

I also applied! Haven't heard anything yet. But I hear that if you have inside connections that your chances of gettin an interview are really good.

It was for fall when I was accepted

I'm in NIU's nursing program right now. I graduate in December. When I got into the program my GPA was 3.3. They also look at your pre req GPA. I was wait listed and I recieved my letter In early April. I then recieved my letter stating that I was accepted in late July. I was #13 on the wait list so if you happen to be wait listed they tend to go through it quickly. At least for the top 20 people. Good luck!

Hey @smuffins. I seen on a thread that you recieved an position as a student nurse at childrens memorial in Chicago. I'm currently preparing to apply for that position this year. Do you have any tips on what to include in the resume? Did you have any experience prior to that position? I'm just really nervous about applying. I know it's very competitive
