Did any one else get that invitation for the zoom call with the current students and alumni that took place tonight 1/30. I attended it was informative. Just wondering if anybody else was invited to that already having submitted their application, I submitted before the priority deadline.

Any one any color most of us did get Lithman though. Wait for the package though before you purchase because they do give discount codes sometimes or offer group pricing.

It's a long list and it could be different than ours so that's why i didn't post exact titles you guys will see it in your package and the Westchester rule just started about a month ago so for my cohort they had to make exceptions because people already registered at different schools so I am not sure if they will be strict with that rule for ur cohort since you are an incoming class. But you can always talk to the dean to attempt to get approval if you have a valid reason for wanting to take a class elsewhere.

Hey just so you know you guys would be the class of 2020 not 2021 lol you start in January of 2019 and graduate December of 2020!!

We can only order specific scrubs from a specific website with our school logo embroidered they will provide the info in the packet the color though is white top and jacket with ceal blue pants and they run huge most of us had to order one or two sizes down. I'm a small/medium in real life but in this uniform I'm an XS!! And you're welcome!

Hey I'm a current student finishing N2 going into N3...congratulations to all of you who were accepted and to those who didn't they do pick people off of the waiting list because not every one accepts the offer, so keep hope alive. Since I know you guys will ask lol i had an 85 on the Kaplan and was missing 4 prereqs which I now have all completed. As far as the booklist it will all be in your acceptance package that they will have you pick up hopefully soon it's about 10-15 books totalling a little under $1000 i got all of mines on Amazon they have the best prices. Uniform is around $100. It's also a few other things you have to pay for such as stethoscope, white sneakers and the drug screening. So save your coins or do what I did and put it on your Christmas list lol lastly get ready to read they assign the unit 1 readings for before the first day of school! I do not believe chemistry is weighed any heavier you have to have above a C+ in every prereq . The gpa has to be 2.7 minimum for the prereq classes that you have.

Our nursing courses are Monday to Wednesday evenings and clinical Saturday... I completed all pre reqs at this point I used summer and fall before i started N1 to do it plus the summer that just passed plus i had some done from my previous bachelors degree .. I didn't take any prereq classes while in nursing classes simultaneously. My classmates who do are doing them online.

You take the prereqs at our sister school Westchester community college. The nursing school only has nursing classes. They suggest we take as many as possible before starting Nursing 1 since your only allowed one failure in any class prereq or nursing class.

Hi guys I am a current N2 evening student. For the Kaplan exam the Kaplan book is not helpful at all I used Quizlet for the AP portion it is the best source and also just used basic sat books for the reading and writing portion for math it was just basic math i honestly didn't review math and received 100 on that portion I scored an 85 overall and had a 3.81 gpa in the required courses I know of classmates who got in with mid 70s but you should be aiming for low 80s. Clinicals are all Montefiore hospitals except in N1 one of the long term care facilities is not Montefiore Owned. Any other questions feel free to ask. We received our acceptance via email November 2nd last year if that helps you get a feel of how long you will be waiting! GOOD LUCK!!

You wasn't asking me but I also had to take the fundamentals Kaplan exit exam and scored a 98% using strictly Quizlet!! Just type in "Kaplan fundamentals of nursing - use this!" Trust me!!

I am a current student going into Nursing 2 at Montefiore. I got in the first time I applied it was the first time I applied to nursing school and the only school I applied for. I got an 85 on the Kaplan but a girl in my cohort got a 77 and she got in. Hope that helps.

I honestly have no idea I don't have a visible tattoo and no one in my clinical group did either. Sorry that wasn't helpful lol

Hey congrats on getting accepted I did not rent any of my textbooks it's no point because all of the books on that list will be used throughout the 2 year program. Even the fundamentals books for first semester you use it to study for nclex once you graduate. So I would strongly suggest not renting textbooks the only real decision is if u want ebooks or hard copies that was the different choices people made. And side note u really do literally need all of the required textbooks. It's not one book that I didn't open!! I suggest Amazon I purchased just about every book on Amazon saved a good amount of money.

Hey guys I am a current MSON N2 student just so you all know for the fb group do not use the word Montefiore in the group name and do not use any pictures that have the Montefiore logo...Our class also has a fb group and the school told us to remove their name or any logos...Make the group private as well :) . Congratulations to all of you were accepted!!! Enjoy the beginning of your summer because you will be getting ur reading list soon and then the fun really begins lol!!! Congrats again

It's honestly no specific score because they look at gpa plus how many prereqs you have taken as well as the kaplan score. I got an 85 but i know a girl who got a 76 and got in. 81 is a very good score though above 80 is usually solid.

Hey, where did you hear anything about November 28th!? Open house is Nov 16th then Mandatory orientation is Dec 9th and Dec 16th. I called and they said to just bring in the 200 dollar deposit the day we go in to pick up our acceptance package. They still haven't emailed us to say the package was available yet she said they are still working on completing them.

I did take the exam on the 27th and I got accepted my kaplan score was an 85 missing AP2 and Sociology if that helps. Keep hope up they can't send them all out in one night!!

I took my exam the 27th of October

i received an 85 on the kaplan exam and my last name begins with B if that helps and I received my acceptance email at 5:36 pm. Missing two pre reqs.
