  1. Hey Brittany! I just reached the halfway point! I'm surviving and doing well, but it's very very time consuming and difficult. I feel like I've lost my social life completely-which was hard at first since I moved here for TCU. However, I really believe it's worth it. The professors really care about your success and I think putting some things on hold to finish quickly has been exactly what I need. Hope that helps. (: Ashley
  2. Hey! So sorry, but I already have one. I don't think I can delete this post or I would. We we have a facebook group created. If you haven't already you could ask there! https://www.facebook.com/groups/440800742761989/
  3. Ahh! You're not talking about the Villas at Oak Hill are you? You mean the Oak Hill apartments? I visited the oak hill ones and they were terrible. But I'm about to sign a lease at the Villas.

  5. Kay! The facebook group is up and called "TCU Accelerated BSN Class of 2016". Feel free to join. (:
  6. If my job doesn't pop up, it should say that I went to Mary-Hardin Baylor. (:
  7. Congrats to everyone that's found out they've been accepted! I can't to get our letters! I was thinking that we could create a facebook group for our class so we could communicate a little easier. I would love to make one and share it with y'all, but I need to be facebook friends with someone on here first so I can create the group. So if you like the idea then you should find me on facebook and add me as a friend. Then I'll post the group name in this forum. My name is Ashley Settles and it should say under my name that I'm a "case manager at Central Texas Youth Services". Thanks! (:
  8. Hello! I'm ironically in the very opposite position you are in. I gave up nursing for Psych, and now I'm about to head to nursing school. Do what makes you happy, but realize that unless you go to grad school it will be pretty difficult to get a job in the psych department. I've worked the past two years helping kids that have aged out of foster care. It's been great, but I'm burnt out. I realized that unless I go to grad school, my options on a new job are very limited. Also... the pay is less than half of the average Texas nursing salary. It's obviously not about the money, do what makes you happy. Just remember that unless you go to grad school, there isn't much you can't do with a nursing degree that you could do with a psych one. Best of luck. (:
  9. Hey y'all! I am going to be starting the TCU accelerated nursing program this May, 2015. I do not live near Fort Worth and I'm looking for some recommendations for a safe apartment complex near TCU. I am also looking to find a female roommate (preferably in her 20s) to share a 2 bedroom apartment with. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! Ashley
  10. I'm still waiting for something in the mail as well! Let me know if you hear back this week! I talked to them about a week and a half ago. They told me they there were about 130 applicants and they would be accepting between 50-60 people.
  11. Glad to hear the letters are going out so soon Sarah! Best of luck. (: Are you hoping to get in to the accelerated or traditional one?
  12. Hey all! I applied to the accelerated nursing program for a start date of Fall 2015. Does anyone that applied know the acceptance rate? How did you do on your HESI test? I heard we will hear back by the end of February. Thank you! Ashley
