  1. I'm normally a flash card person as well, but flashcards didn't work for Anatomy for me. What helped me most with OIAs was lots of open lab time and labeling using Netter's. When you can visualize where the muscles origin is, insertion and action make a lot more sense + vice versa. Just memorizing the information won't help or serve you well in your future. Lots and lots of repetition. There are websites online where they have "games" to test your knowledge of OIA's and there are also lots of Youtube videos for the days you can't make it to open lab. Good luck.
  2. I am just finishing up taking them both at the same time and I survived. I also have a toddler and took 2 other courses at the same time. If you are organized, you will succeed. Both classes are extremely time consuming and in order to get A's you will have to study unless you have took similar courses it will be material that you are not familiar with.
  3. Can't wait to meet you all! Congrats!!! NicolM I hope you get accepted at one of your other choices!! (:
  4. Thank-you! I wish they would send an email too! This wait is making me so anxious!
  5. Please post when you hear something! I live an hour away, so I feel like my letter will be a day behind.
  6. Me too! Going to be checking the mail like a crazy lady!
  7. I called today & they said they were going to try to get letters out this week!!
  8. I have a 2 year old and I am at home with her full time except when I go to school. I set aside time during the day and let her do playdoh or something at the table with me while I study or let her have a little quiet movie time. Then I study when she naps and when she goes to bed at night. It's cute because now she will tell me she is doing homework. Ha. But overall, I have stayed very organized by outlining what I will do each day and week so it isn't overwhelming and I can balance family/household duties with school.
  9. I need to go to that too. Ah, it would be awesome if we found out next week.
  10. Ah, hopefully it goes by fast!
  11. @jojo516 Oh wow, I bet! Do you know if we will find out before spring break or after if we get accepted?
  12. I hope so @NicolM. I wish my Science GPA was higher! @jojo516 I am also in Micro and Anatomy but at OSU-OKC. It is SUPER overwhelming! I am planning to take Physiology over the summer (: I'm actually looking forward to having that class by itself considering how time consuming these are! I am also taking Intro to Nursing at UCO, have you taken that yet?
  13. Hello! I have also applied to UCO's Fall 2015 traditional program. It's the only school I applied to since I am seeking my Bachelor's. I scored an 83.4 on the TEAS, hold a 3.9 GPA, my science GPA is a 3.0 because I only have taken 2 science courses (taking 2 right now, final one in summer), I also already have a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Comm. I am super nervous about getting into the program, I hope that I do! I wish the both of you luck as well, keep us posted along the way.
