  1. Hey @Whey, I will actually be providing no help on this matter (...sorry), but I was curious as to what your qualifications were/what you believe helped you get into the program. Are you a California resident/go to school in CA? Did you work as a tech at one of the hospitals? I'm looking to apply the next cohorts. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, and good luck with making the decision! Both programs seem amazing!
  2. Hey @StellaKSU05! I stood at a 3.9 for prereqs. As for the application essay, I'm not sure what advice you're looking for, but definitely include a great eye-catching title! Dr. Stephanie Pierce, who is in charge of the program, was very insistent on that. I would also recommend attending one of the LSU CARE Informational Meetings if you're in the area. Dr. Pierce provides a lot of good information about the application process and the program itself. Good luck!!
  3. Hi guys! I know it's been a while since someone has posted on this thread, but I wanted to know if you current CARE students get a spring break. I was admitted to the class that starts this Fall, and I'm trying to plan my wedding! If someone could provide some insight--because I can't get ahold of anyone at the school to tell me if we do--then that would be great! Thanks!!!
  4. Also--does anyone know if we get a Spring Break?! I'm looking to get married during the program and want to know all my options
  5. I just joined!
  6. I got in too yay! I'm surprised it was so early.
  7. I live here at the Saulet apartment complex. It's 1.5 miles away from the campus I think. It's awesome!
  8. Had my interview a few days ago. They said that first round of acceptances go out March 20th, and then two weeks later in April alternates find out... Hope everyone hears good news!! Also I think they hinted at a second round of interviews, but I can't be sure.
  9. I haven't had my cash checked but I did get an email for an interview today! Woooo!!! Check your emails guys!!!
  10. Hi!!! I actually was planning on starting a thread for this as well, so thanks for doing that! It sounds like to me you're a perfect candidate. I wouldn't worry about what you did in the past--they say they don't really care about your previous degree's GPA (only prerequisite GPA), so it seems to me that the same rule would apply to previous experiences. I wish the absolute best for you!!! I too turned in my application on Jan 15th, but I'm hoping we hear something about interviews soon! :)
