  1. Accepted!
  2. My application been changed to under committee review. Anyone else??
  3. I had my interview this morning also! I applied to FNP with Ortho concentration and Orthopedics faculty interviewed me. Good luck to all! Now we wait again ?
  4. Does anyone know why my application status would be changed to "hold"?
  5. Mine still says ready for review ?
  6. My application still says 'ready for review'; I know I'm being impatient but this wait seems like forever!
  7. When did you submit? Wondering how long until it is under review, and when we might hear decisions?
  8. I am currently in my first semester at JTCC. It is true that we have had just over 20% leave the class already. However, I don't think this had much to do with voluntary drop-outs. There is a grade requirement that you must achieve in the first 8 weeks in order to be able to move forward to the 2nd 8 weeks of the semester (when clinicals start). Many people did not meet that grade requirement, or they failed their checkoffs in lab (which is an automatic fail for the course). It is difficult, but if you are committed you can do it. It is a hard adjustment to learn how to study differently for nursing courses and I am still trying to figure it all out! John Tyler's program has a great reputation; if you think you can make the commitment, I think John Tyler is the way to go.
  9. Our school has a similar system. Apparently over the last few years there has only been an option to buy the ebook package. This year, they allowed us to either buy just the ebooks or the ebooks/physical books combo package. I went for the combo of both, because I am the same way when it comes to reading, highlighting, etc. Maybe you can look up the ISBNs for the books and buy them on Amazon or rent them?
  10. You don't need a prescription. Or, at least I didn't. I got mine from Patient First in Virginia because my PCP did not have Varicella either. You can go in without an appointment or prescription and get it done. They provide you with the correct paperwork to submit to school.
  11. Hello! I am starting Nursing school in August and have been thinking about different specialties to narrow in on. I worked in a physical therapy clinic for a couple years (as an aide and in the front office) and have always thought going into sports medicine or orthopedics would be interesting. Is there anyone out there that can give me a little more background and/or tell me about their experience in this field? Possibly in an outpatient sports medicine surgery center? Also, I know I don't need to know what I will specialize in right now. I am excited that school will introduce me to areas I don't know anything about yet. Just trying to get an idea...thanks! I already posted this in the student section but didn't get any responses so I thought I would try here, also. Thank you!
  12. I just got the email with all the info...funny timing!
  13. Has anyone received the email with more details since the response deadline? I responded with my acceptance to the program and didn't get a response back...kinda worried they didn't get my email!
  14. Accepted to Traditional Track! Looking forward to meeting and working with you all!
  15. Thanks @gracejeter! Great to know!
