  1. A history about my NCLEX-RN experience from the past and the lastest. I took the NCLEX 3 times (Failed twice:( and Passed on my third try:x3:) Below here are the reviewers i used to prepare myself for the NCLEX. 1st NCLEX attempt: Failed at 220 questions [October 2014] Reviewers used to prepare: Saunders 6th Edition (read the whole book and did all the questions at the end of each chapter & reading only the incorrect rationales) *Took notes on my composition notebook writing all Lab values and noting specific signs and symptoms of different diseases. Scores ranged from 70s-90s. [before the exam i only had 4 hours of sleep due to my anxiety for the NCLEX. Days later...Saw my results & read "DID NOT PASS" on my letter broke down in tears on my drive home:cry:, Cried for about 2 weeks, stressed and avoiding friends/people i knew who passed the nclex, very moody and felt so sad even on my way to work. After 2 weeks, decided to get back on my feet and restart] *Did not do the PVT trick 2nd NCLEX attempt: Failed at 75 questions [March 2014] Reviewers used to prepare: Saunders 6th Edition (used the book for references just in case i needed to go back on a certain topic, i'd read about it and take notes) KAPLAN review course (Purchased the $499.00 review course online. Watched all videos (great content) and answered all of the questions on the QBank provided. Had good test taking strategies if you really understand how to do the strategies that Kaplan provided, questions were challenging and rationales were pretty short and doesn't really explain much. This review course sadly did not help me (it actually confused me especially the strategies since i didn't understand it) but it is very helpful for others in which worked for them) My scores ranged from 40s to high 50s on the Qbanks. La Charity 3rd edition (The BEST reviewer for prioritizing and Delegation that helped me so much in that area) Would do about 2 chapters a day reading the rationales for the right and wrong questions. Finished all questions but did not do the case studies portion. This book help me understand more clearly in regards to prioritization and delegation. Scores ranged from 40s-70s. [Had a good 8 hours of sleep. Days later...Got my results & saw "DID NOT PASS" ....AGAIN... from the 2nd time failing, i don't even want to even talk about it .. ]*Did not do the PVT 3rd NCLEX attempt: PASSED at 75 questions [september 2015] Reviewers used to prepare: Saunders 6th edition -used this book again for refrences and to back track on topics i needed to review, memorized the Lab Values (abnormal and Normal) 2 days before my exam so that it is still fresh in memory. Hurst Review online - Great videos and notes! Review helped me to understand more in content that is direct to the point of the certain topic. NCSBN (Purchased the 7 week course since i had a full time job but got to complete all questions from the Qbanks. I read all rationales from right and wrong questions. Would do 150 questions a day for 2 weeks to complete the Qbanks. Read all the topics with "asterisks *" on the side of the topic title. I love NCSBN, their practice questions were challenging and rationales were direct to the point and informative. I also used NCSBN to study for my NCLEX-PN and Passed at 85 questions Uworld (Purchased the 1 month review and SO WORTH IT! Did it for 11 days before my Exam) I wish i knew about this reviewer in the past. Did not finish all the question banks but got to complete a total of 825 questions reading all the rationales. Uworld, would have to be my most favorite nclex practice question bank reviewer just because the rationales were amazing its like your reading the content but its already in the rationales. It was very helpful for me. [before the 3rd attempt, i focused more on answering questions and only reviewing a summary of content topics. I also prayed day and night to God and asked for his guidance. The day before the exam i tried to memorize most of the Lab values (before sleeping), went out with my boyfriend and had some ice cream and did a little bit of shopping. Had a good 8-9 hours of sleep, got dropped at the testing center, tried to keep calm since being so anxious the previous attempts did not work at all. Had 12 SATA, 1 exhibit and the rest Multiple Choice questions... stopped at 75 questions. I felt sick and walked out the testing center feeling like i failed] Went home and tried the Pearson Vue Trick , got the good pop-up. Tried the PVT after 24 hours and again got the good Pop Up, 48-72 hours later kept getting the good pop up... i was already feeling a big weight off my shoulders. Called the BON a week later where i applied for NCLEX and was told that i PASSED! so the PVT worked for me :) ONE OF THE BEST FEELING IN MY LIFE LIKE EVERRRRRR :) BELIEVE IN YOURSELF & NEVER GIVE UP FUTURE RN's/PN's!
  2. Hello Bevialbe ! Congratulations on passing your NCLEX I took my NCLEX on 09/24/2015 and felt like I knew "NOTHING" Had 12 SATA, 1 Exhibit and the rest were all Multiple Choice questions. The questions I had were mostly medications and forget what else.... The Computer turned off at 75 (with a multiple choice questions) and walked out the testing room depressed :/ I won't find out my results till 2 weeks...oh the agony @______@ How many SATA did you have?
  3. That is amazing! Congratulations and you truly deserved it. I have graduated on May 2014 as well and have taken the NCLEX RN twice and Failed :/ I've used Kaplan and Saunders and it didn't help me besides content. I am now doing Uworld and NCSBN and so far it helped me train on answering questions better. im just a bit worried because I am scoring low 50s-60s% on Uworld does that mean anything?
  4. Thanks a lot April :) I took the NCLEX RN twice and Failed. My 3rd attempt will be in the next few weeks. I used Kaplan and Saunders to study for my 1st and 2nd attempt for NCLEX and it didn't work at all. So I actually purchased both NCSBN and Uworld to study for my upcoming exam. So far I love "Uworld". NCSBN has helped me pass my LPN exam, hoping it will too for the RN. Would you recommend me in just doing the links that has "*" on NCSBN ? because it is overwhelming with all the info. I am a bit worried too with the Uworld I do 75 questions a day but then my scores are like below "60%" does that mean anything? :/
  5. congratulations on Passing! :) Did NCSBN help you more or Uworld? i dont know which one to purchase. any pros and cons on the two? Thank You!
  6. have you taken the NCSBN review course already? if so has it been helping you? im planning on purchasing it as well
  7. Hello Everyone :) I graduated from the Philippines on May 2014 Took my NCLEX-RN exam on October 2014 and failed at 220 questions. i was pretty much depressed for almost one month but got back on my feet and studied harder to prepare for my 2nd try (which is sometime in the next few months). For my 1st try i used the Saunders 6th Edition and read the whole book and did all the questions in it..but guess it wasn't enough. So i asked friends who passed the NCLEX-RN recently for recommendations and they told me to try Kaplan Online Review (with the Kaplan 2nd Edition Content Review guide book) and to read the La Charity book. So i did that and found them really helpful. The Kaplan Review had great summary lecture videos and test taking strategies) Diagnostic Test was a 57% QT 1 56% QT 2 56% QT 3 49% QT 4 54% QT 5 59% QT 6 53% QT 7 52% QBank scores : 40's-mid and high 50's Im so unsure if my scores are good enough to try and take the NCLEX the 2nd time... anyone have recommendations or suggestions?
