  1. To clarify some things. There are 4 groups of interviews. They aren't based on when you turned in your application, from what I could tell when I applied they are based on strength of the candidate. The numbers I was told are: 600-700 applicants, 300-400 qualify to be considered, 200-300 interviews, and 120+ get selected for admission. Denial letters got sent out pretty quick for my class. So as long as you haven't received one, then you are still being considered. Several people I know who were being waitlisted were just admitted for fall.
  2. That just means that your application has been completed
  3. I think what y'all are talking about is the green checkmark. It will show up when you get accepted. Also... Something super important. The acceptances come in waves, because the admissions committee meets EVERY OTHER MONDAY. So if you hear about people getting accepted on a monday or tuesday, then you won't hear something for another two weeks. It took more than 4 weeks for me to hear back from my interview.
  4. Hi Everyone! I will be starting at UTMB this fall. Just wanted to let everyone know to stay positive and just because you have a low GPA/TEAS doesn't mean that you won't get it. It is all about you as a person. I can't believe that y'all get interviews so soon!
  5. If you have conditional acceptance then it means that you are excepted. You won't get anything else
  6. I've been accepted too! Congrats to everyone else
  7. It usually takes 2 weeks to hear a response. Also, keep in mind that this week is spring break and the committee isn't working.
  8. There are 4 rounds
  9. For the girls that have interviews, what are y'all wearing?
  10. I read in last fall's thread that they asked people who got below a certain level on a particular section to redo it because they are interested in you.
  11. This has to be the first round right?
  12. I got my interview too!! I turned in my application on November 30
  13. According to last fall's blog it seems like people only recieved interview invites on Mondays since that is the only day that the committee reviews application. I hope this doesn't mean that we aren't going to be hearing anything this week!
  14. Those people who are waitlisted for summer, have you heard anything new?
  15. I keep checking the number of people on the Summer 15 Facebook page and there are only about 45 people in that group. I'm almost positive that there are a lot more people that need to be added before they are done with summer. I really hope we start hearing something soon!
  16. going crazy here!! I hope they look at the applications in the order they came in
  17. I talked to an advisor before I took mine and she told me that the chance of you not getting a better score is high and if that did happen then you would have a much lower chance of getting it. So, if you score a 70 or above then you are good and don't retake it.
  18. Does anyone know when the first round of interview emails go out? I read last fall's thread and it seemed like it was about the first week of February. I'm getting really anxious... hopefully those emails go out soon.
  19. I believe they only look at prerequisites.
  20. It took about 3 days to get the supplemental, they send it to you by email. Then after you send it back it takes about another week for them to send you the final email. feel free to look back in this conversation at the dates that I posted when I received everything. (The admissions board has been reviewing my application for 6 weeks now).
  21. you are correct! you only need two of your sciences complete. Sorry for the confusion. Remember everyone, UTMB looks at more than just grades and scores. I talked to one of the admissions advisors and they told me that every semester they have students with 3.4 or 3.3 that get admitted over a 4.0 student due to their passion that was shown in their interview. Also, yes fall is the most competitive to get in but keep in mind that they also offer guaranteed admission for spring semester if you are a good applicant but they just don't have the spots. Everyone lets stay positive!
