  1. I was also accepted for Fall 2015! I am one of the girls from that chemistry class I know some people who have attended the program recently and they love it. I am very excited to begin. Look forward to seeing you there :)
  2. Did you hear anything yet!? I have some friends who received their acceptance letters over the weekend! Crossing my fingers for you!!
  3. So the board met yesterday! Are you getting ready to stalk your mail carrier!?
  4. Thanks for your input everyone. @xMrsLee-I actually ended up paying for A&P I through Portage Online and a day later found out that while RHSHS used to transfer these credits in, they no longer do since they are working with Alvernia on dual admissions. I was able to get a refund and it looks like I will be taking A&P I and II at RHSHS. They did transfer in 4 of courses from RACC including 2 psychology courses, a sociology, and an English composition.
  5. Great point! That is what I was thinking and I would like to have more time to focus on the nursing courses as well. Thank you!
  6. Hello everyone! I am hoping to get some insight from students or grads who have attended RHSHS or even another institution. I was recently accepted into their program and I am super excited. Now I am debating whether or not to take my A&P's prior to the start of clinical in the Fall or during. It seem very appealing to lighten my workload as much as possible before the start but I want to make sure that the material I am learning is what they want us to know. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!
  7. I was recently accepted into Nursing School and I am considering taking my A&P's online through Portage to get them out of the way before fall. I would love to hear from anyone who has done this. What I have seen has been really mixed reviews. My question is-did you feel you were able to complete the program with a full understanding and at your own pace? Also, did you feel after taking the A&P online that you were as prepared as the other students in clinical? Thank you in advance for all of your help!!
  8. I shadowed at RHSHS in the summer and the students were getting ready to graduate. Many of them were already accepted to RN to BSN programs at Drexel, Alvernia, or Chamberlain. I don't think we will have any problems!
  9. How is it going so far!? Any suggestions for us before we start? How many mini-semesters are there from now to graduation?
  10. I have had no trouble getting in touch with an adviser or financial aid at all during this process. Make sure you always leave a message and they should call you back. I did have a form in my acceptance packet that showed all of the courses they would transfer in from RACC. I believe they already had this information from my transcripts. It was quite the packet and then I received another one a few days later for financial aid. Everything is very thorough though and includes all the steps you need to take. Try not to worry! I am confident you will get in. Stay positive!
  11. I promise you, you WILL stalk the mail carrier! Keep me posted and good luck :)
  12. Best of luck at HACC! When will you start?
  13. I heard benchmark was a 70.7% which is exactly what I scored but I have a friend who scored a 60% and was also accepted. They look at the whole package. I have a 3.8 gpa at RACC as well as some volunteer experience and quite a few recommendation letters. If you don't mind my asking, how did you do? I know some people who also took there test on Saturday. It is SO nerve wracking. I believe they said the board would be reviewing for your teas date the first Monday in March so you should know by the 10th. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you!! Keep us posted!
  14. Hey everyone! I also applied to RHSHS. I had all of my pre-acceptance requirements in before the end of December and took my TEAS on January 13th. I received my acceptance letter last week for the Day Program starting August 2015!! I have been at RACC for four semesters working on my pre-requsites and do NOT recommend their Nursing program. While I did not start clinical there, I have talked to those who have and they had horrible experiences. Even professors have told me to go elsewhere. I am sure it is not all bad but I am not chancing it. I have a friend who had a problem with her transcripts getting to RHSHS as well and then when she went to register for the TEAS it was sold out. She had to wait another 3 weeks for the next date. I highly recommend if you have any question to contact Melanie in Admissions. She is super friendly and even told me the date that the board was meeting to review my app so I wasn't stalking the mailman for a month! Let me know if you have any questions! Hopefully I will be seeing all of you in the fall! Best of Luck!!
  15. Hey everyone! I know it's been a while since this thread. I am scheduled to take the TEAS for RHSHS tomorrow. I am panicked! If you don't mind my asking, what were your GPA's? I have been working on getting into this school for months (I have been working on my pre-requisites at RACC for a year.) Since you have been attending or have graduated, how was your experience? Thanks in advance! Any advice is appreciated. I won't know if I was accepted for 2-3 weeks. Tick tock, tick tock!
