Error on TEAS score?
It looks like this is some "educational/testing" corporation that controls your TEAS results? Why doesn't the institution you're applying to do this? I am STRUGGLING TO GET A SIMPLE CNA CERTIFICATION back from a company called Pearson Vue and it's a nightmare. It's all about getting your money by requiring you to retest! to get into your program. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Failed my CNA Skills Test a second time
Good luck. I'm having the same problem. This whole process has been taken over by a for-profit conglomerate called Pearson Vue. The incentive to fail is money driven and they also have incompetent people at the so called customer service center. We who have had this trouble know this problem needs to be changed. I think it's so bad some people never go back to retest.

What prerequisites did you take/ are you taking?
Regarding prereqs.... I would want to start any of them with a public, accredited college or technical school whose credits transfer easily to other colleges. In Minnesota and Wisconsin, most credits transfer well even between both the state's colleges. The biggest problems are little things.... ....like your psych class was a 3 credit, the nursing program you're now in requires a 4 credit. A good advisor in a program will know how to help with this little stuff. Credits from many private, for profit schools, do not transfer well. Plus they are much more expensive than public college credits. It is better to have to wait your turn for a public, accredit college than risk a private one that takes everybody, charges 2 to 3x per credit, and then you are stuck with them. So look at many programs, find similar requirements, and start with generals that seem transferable to all the schools you are considering. And, you want to have those base science classes at a good school with good teachers. Good luck!

Pearson Vue Trick 2015 Latest
I'm knew to all of this. I'm just starting out with pre-nursing and Pearson Vue has bungled my CNA certification. So, they are responsible for licensing nurses too? Oh great. Aren't all these private for profit corporations wonderful. They will take your money and good luck if they do right by you.

What to do after ADN?
You write " As a retired teacher, the thought of being able to combine teaching and nursing is very appealing to me." I live in Wisconsin and there is a huge shortage of nursing teachers. If you retire with even a bachelor's degree and some years of experience, they will hire you to teach at some level. So, that's an option if you want to only semi-retire.

CNA skills test
I think anyone can pass or fail this test. People who pass the first time think everyone who doesn't is a moron. But, I really believe everyone makes at least one miss that could fail them every time. I think it's a numbers game and each outcome is at the mercy of the tester. It's also a money issue and I would believe the testing site's sincerity if the retest fees were cheaper. Feedback?
