  1. Thank you!
  2. Hello! Today I landed a job as a CCU (coronary care unit) nurse in a small hospital (new grad) and I am thrilled! I have dreams of becoming a pediatric nurse practitioner, and wanted to ask if my experience in the CCU will be considered relevant experience. Also, has anyone else been hired as a new grad in the CCU? Any tips? Also, what should I review before starting my orientation? Any bits of info would be greatly appreciated.
  3. I was in second grade. We were watching a movie on the TV when the teacher just turned on the news and we all watched it happen in silence. I was a bit too young to fully comprehend the situation, but I will never forget the silence that hit.
  4. Hello all! I will be starting my Critical Care clinicals next week, and was just wondering what should I review beforehand, and also what to expect? I will be practicing in the ICU and CCU :)
  5. Thank you so much!! I am starting my Critical Care and Pediatric clinicals next week, and I am so excited!! I will keep what you said to me in mind, I'm gonna go strong :)
  6. As for the NCLEX style questions, always always go for your first answer if you're stuck between two!! I learned this the hard way. Ask lots and lots of questions during clinicals, and take them as an opportunity for learning bit by bit with patience. Good luck!!
  7. Hello all :) I'm a 3rd year nursing student and I have the worst self-esteem issues! All of my clinical instructors are aware of this, and say it affects the way I work. They tell me you have good clinical skills but you get too scared for no reason. It's just that there's always something in the back of my head saying I'm gonna do everything wrong, and will hurt my patient! How can I overcome this fear before I start working as an RN? or is it only when you're a student?
