  1. Notca67 Did you ever find out if you could enroll while being a NA?
  2. I am not to terribly concerned about the promoting or indirect promotion of their work. I would rather others no what is said and the misinformation that is being put out about a nursing career that many have than just act like I didn't see it. If you are worried about it then I understand you not reading the article.
  3. So Nurse Practitioners can be informed of the crap that is being floated out there about there profession. I find more often than not that people like to know what is being said about them or their profession.
  4. I found this article and thought I would pass it along. 'The nurse will see you now' | Human Events
  5. Nursetim, I agree it is a beautiful state.
  6. Good Luck adventure780. I hope you get accepted in one of the schools.
  7. O got in with a 165, we had people get in with around a 152 score. That is cutting it pretty close though. This was for the spring semester. Congrats to those who got in.
  8. Nursetim, Is it common to see a NP practice? Is it difficult to open one in NC?
  9. I look forward to seeing the states move towards a more open and as you put it "free range" practice for NP's. I think it would help if it was just the BON over NP's and nurses rather than the both the BON and Medical Board.
  10. My wife and I absolutely fell in love with NC and that is why we are wanting to move there. That being said, I have heard some horror stories about how bad being an NP is and the pay being low as well. Thanks for the link. I have emailed the NCBON a few times with little response from them. They have not been much help at all. Thanks for the response.
  11. I wanted to ask you guys if being an NP is tough in NC. I have heard about how restrictive it can be with the regulations and that in some areas the pay is not very good. I wanted to see if anybody here is a NP in NC as I would Like to move there, preferably in a rural area outside of Haw River somewhere. Is the pay really that bad and does it suck to be an NP in NC? Thanks in advance.
