I was still missing the 2 soc/anthro electives when I got accepted. I kept submitting different course descriptions since I went to a nontraditional college, and they finally accepted one for anthropology. SUNY admissions told me I could take the Intro to Sociology CLEP to fulfill one of the electives, which I just did.

I'm not sure about when my status changed either, except when I got the emails. I can't remember my exact TEAS score, but it was in the 90's for both math & reading. My undergrad GPA was 3.54, and my prereq GPA was 3.9. Good luck to you both, keep us posted.. sohokat, do you have any outstanding prereqs or did you complete them all?

Congrats! I am pretty sure I'll be accepting my place. Once I do, I'd like to start a Facebook group like last year's incoming class did. It would be nice to get in touch this way since I'm out of state at the moment (Seattle). My main question at this point is whether there's any way to get around taking the 2 soc/anthro electives I'm still missing - anyone have success using CLEP scores for this, or getting a second opinion on transcript evaluations?

hopefulnurse10038, I also started the application process in September, although I don't think it was totally complete until December. I just got the notice yesterday. What's the deadline to accept your spot at LIU? I'm assuming SUNY is starting the rolling admissions process, and will continue to send out acceptance letters in another 2 weeks, since that's the window they're giving to reserve placement.

Have you heard back yet? I just got my acceptance for summer 2015 entry, but I'm disheartened by the older posts here about the program. It would be great to hear from anyone who's had more recent experience at SUNY Downstate..
