  1. Red Kryptonite It was to be expected, however, it went off topic quickly.
  2. Maybe I should have cleared this post up enough. People get off your high horse. This post had nothing to do with IQ's or learning science and math for that matter. It was encouragement post. Letting Pre-Nursing students know it's a light at the end of the tunnel. Everyone has self- doubt. In my original post, I never stated anything about any and everyone can do nursing. I was only trying to give encouragement to the one's who really want it. This was not a debate post. I could care less what you agree or strongly disagree about with all respect.
  3. 817nurse I agree with you to a certain point. No, not everyone has the mindset to become a doctor, nurse and etc. However, I believe that anyone can do anything they set their minds to *if* you have the discipline and internal fortitude to achieve.
  4. Congrats! I wish you the best in your future career as a nurse. :)
  5. Why is it so easy to give up? A lot of people including myself want success but fear it at the same time. It's like we see the sunshine but allow the rain to come through and just get us wet. Lol. Is it just a mind game? How can we overcome this? Hopefully, this topic helps Pre-Nursing students overcome their fears of becoming a successful nurse.
  6. Manda90 I also go back and forth on whether I am able to achieve my goals or if I'm going to let my pass failures hinder me. Please don't give up. It's so easy to say what we are not good at. I'm terrible at math as well, however, I will make much effort to overcome my fears of math or any other anxieties.
  7. Quick Questions. What are your thoughts on EduKan online courses? Which home base school would you prefer? I picked Pratt CC but not sure if that is the right choice. Would it be a good idea to do A&P I and Micro together? Thanks for the insight in advance!
  8. We have childern already, ages 10 and 8. At this time, since I know that we are due to leave. I would like to wait until we get to our next base to find a nursing program. That way, I will have 4 years to complete a program without having to move or have my family leave me behind. My concerns are where our next duty station may be? how long the waiting list might be? and will my credits transfer without a problem? To be all honest, I am venting more than anything. I understand their is no solid answer. I wish their wasn't so many IF's when it came to nursing. I feel stuck! Thanks for the insight.
  9. Where to start! I like to keep things short and sweet. In this case it will be short but not too sweet. I am a military spouse that is due to move soon, however, I don't have a clue where. I am almost done with my prerequisites and I feel like I am in a stand still. My question is: How hard is it to transfer pre-reqs for military spouses? IF, we received orders overseas (ex.Germany) would it be hard for me to continue nursing? and is EduKan a decent program for Pre-Nursing students to completed their science courses? I am really determine to get my nursing degree but fear many set backs. I wish every nursing student the best. This is a long journey. Thanks for any advance!
