  1. Well Siri, thank you for the reply....although Arkansas will be great because it is SEC...It would be impossible to sway us from our home schools of Ole Miss, Miss State and LSU! But its all fun...its all SEC. We do like the Razorbacks...and will pull for them, unless they are playing the above schools! Texas just has something called the Big 12! LOL. Conway and Cabot are the 2 we are really looking at, and Mayflower. Hot Springs will be too far away. We don't want to have to drive more than 30 miles, if we can manage, to go to work. Let me know if you have any other advice. Thanks again. :monkeydance:
  2. My husband and I are both RN's siving in Dallas, Tx. I am from Mississippi and he is from Louisiana. Dallas had turned out to be TOO BIG for us and we are looking to move somewhere outside of Little Rock in the spring of next year. Im sure we will both work in Little Rock...(me possibly at Childrens and him...?) I work PICU and he is Adult ICU Trauma and hearts. Any comments about Childrens? My question is: what areas are the best to live and raise a new family? we have been married a little over a year and will be starting a family next year as well. Ive heard good things about Conway and Cabot. Any other places? We would love to be on a lake or either have a few acres. Arkansas is such a pretty place and we are just trying to get opinions from people who know the areas better than we do. Thank you in advance for any responses!
  3. My husband and I are looking at the Little Rock and outside areas for a possible relocation next year. We are both from small towns in Mississippi and Louisiana and are living in Dallas right now....which is just too big for us! Just wondering how people like AR Childrens, is the pay good and how is the working environment. I have heard good things, but I wanted to hear something first hand. Also...any suggestions on where to look at living? We want some land and privacy but not too far from work. What are the good outside areas of Little Rock? Thanks in advance for any replies!
  4. I saw that you are from Kingsport. My husband and I live in Dallas (but are from MS and La) and are looking at the area as a place to move in the next year. Anything you could tell us about it would be great....esp pay rates and anything about the hospitals there and in Johnson City. Thanks in advance!
  5. Ok, so what do you think an RN with 8 years PICU exp would get? Thanks!
  6. wow!...that is ver LOW pay rates. is that for new grads?...( I hope!) what hospital are you speaking of?
  7. I am actually living in Texas now as well, in Dallas. Do you happen to know anything about the Knoxville or Johnson City-Kingsport areas??? I actually worked prn at LeBonheur myself! I am from Mississippi. thanks!
  8. Hi, I know that pay depends on experience...but do you know how much the average nurse makes there? or maybe new grads? I am trying to come up with a dollar figure....kind of what is the going rate. thanks for the reply.
  9. Does anyone work PICU in Tennessee? If so which parts and what is the pay there? Looking to relocate to the state and am very interested in the pay and benefits. Thank you!
  10. I wanted to see if there was anyone working PICU in Tennessee and how they liked it there. My husband and I are thinking of relocating to maybe Johnson City or Knoxville but are wondering about pay rates and benefits. Any holp would be SOOOO appreciated! Also he works Adult ICU just in case you know about anything dealing with that. Thanks.
