  1. Where are you? This sounds like something the ED mgr at my last place of employment would come up with. She spends more time on silly campaigns like this than on important issues.
  2. I am an experienced Emergency RN. Since losing my job in Jan, I have been unsuccessful in my attempts to find another one. I am coming up against background checks, and when I am honest about it, I just don't even get the courtesy of a "decline to hire". I am a good nurse, and need to work. I am so frustrated withi all the brick walls I keep running into. I made a mistake once by driving after drinking at a dinner party. Not something I do all the time and haven't done since. Any suggestions are welcome.
  3. I was terminated for alot less...patient c/o rude nurse. ED Mgr said she wouldn't tolerate anything less than 100 percent pt satisfaction. It didn't matter in the least that everyone on my shift stood up for me. Haven't found a job since. It doesn't help when your own department head doesn't stand up for staff. I think you really may want to consider looking for a more supportive workplace. I will say that in hindsight, I should have read the vibes from this new mgr as warnings and sought another job before the stuff hit the fan. They lost a good nurse. Anyone out there need one?
