Hello, I am looking for any advice, help suggestions from anyone that is familiar with DFW and/or Austin. My family and I (hubby and two children) will be moving to Texas from Maryland w/in the year. I am a new RN grad and we are torn btwn the DFW area and the Austin area. I am wanting to get into NICU/ labor and delivery. What area is the best for living, cost of living and raising a family? We will be planning a trip to Texas and renting a car and checking out the areas but anything from anyone would be great! How long of a drive is it btwn DFW and Austin? Thanks...

Hello all, I am currently living in Maryland and will be finished nursing school in may of 07. We are planning on relocating to another state and I want to be a NICU nurse and healthpark in Ft Myers offers an internship for specialty nursing. Has anyone dealt with this before? I need to be South somewhere I hate the cold. I have also debated on Texas as well but am real interested in the internship program in Ft Myers and this is the first I have ever heard of this, but I hear aweful things about Fl pay and cost of living Any advice? Texas or Florida?

Hi I am also going to go to UTA however I am not going until next fall. I am in Maryland now and have to get my LPN first so that I can work when I get there. I have heard great things about UTA and am very excited about it. Are you going to live on campus or not, I am undecided but hope to be in Texas by July to get ready for the fall. What made you decide to go there?
