  1. Thanks for sharing. I am just starting my hospice career, looking forward to it.
  2. Does your hospital have a policy on how long you have to stay in a position before transferring departments? I would start with HR and speak with them first. If you think your manager would be supportive I would talk to them (after HR) but before applying..
  3. I'm planning to buy the UnCalendar. I love how it is set up. I wish they had better colors though, I was hoping to find something similar but a little prettier but I haven't found anything yet.
  4. My GPA from my Bachelors degree is even lower than yours. I've applied at a private school for a BSN program that will let you write a letter asking for "academic forgiveness" and then they will use the last 48 credit hours to calculate your overall GPA. So there are are schools out there that will accept the low GPA if you have improved your grades.
  5. I'm still taking my prereqs but will apply this spring for a BSN program. One of the reasons I decided to do the BSN is because, since I already have a Bachelor's degree the community college will not give me any loans- have you looked into that at your school? It'll cost a lot more to get my BSN, but there's no way we could pay for the ADN out of pocket with just my husband working. I'll still try to get scholarships and save money until then so we don't have to get it all in loans. They really don't make it very easy for those returning to school- do they!? :)
