@flexis: I am nervous about meeting everyone too... I am super self-conscious about being with kids 10 years younger than me and feeling out of the loop on what is hip when I was taking pre-reqs I tried to blend in as much as possible and still got called "ma'am." Bah! @Pray247, totally sending vibes your way! I hope you guys find out soon at least for peace of mind

@ Kankan, you should take a look at the FB group for accepted students--someone talked to an adviser last week and to the best of my recollection they had not settled on a date for the state of our semester. Hoping it starts later than sooner so I can save more...ack!

PMHNP. I honestly felt like I couldn't celebrate before since only so few of us found out. Now I feel better!

@asap0416: what is your specialty? Happy for everyone! Did anyone get their acceptance fee waived? I am still trying to make sense of why some of us found out earlier. We still do not know,

Has anyone heard of people switching specialties during the program? I heard it's possible if someone realizes they made the wrong decision and space opens up in another program (due to dropping out, or not passing classes, life, etc.). I wonder if having the 2 specialty preferences that was introduced this year will change that. I am excited for my program, but I am sooo nervous as well!

That is such a sweet message! This weekend was the weekend of technology failing across the board--I had to submit my deposit in the parking lot at work using my cell phone browser since I have no internet or cell service at my partner's place...ahhh! Your message means a lot. I was devastated when I did not get in last year. I am probably older than a lot of you and left a field I had several years of experience in to follow a dream I just could not shake off, even after nearly a decade of receiving my college diploma. I spent a lot of nights with the heat low and eating one meal a day (thus the name, "hungrystudent" ) so I could fulfill/afford the requirements to apply for this and other programs. Having this forum on which to ask questions and vent was a huge source of relief for me throughout the whole process and I suuupper duper hope to see you guys this summer. You guys are awesome!

Hi everyone--sorry to take so long to write back. My partner lives in the country and his wifi is down (and I have no cell reception there). I received an acceptance notification on Saturday afternoon, and last night at 11 PM received an official letter from OSU via email notifying me of my acceptance. I hope I get a fellowship! I am really nervous and excited. Edit: I applied to the PMHNP program.

I received my decision earlier this afternoon, after seeing a comment from another poster. I appreciate them making the effort to meet their original deadline of Feb 1!

I heard on appstatus before I got an email. I think it was 30 days before I even got an email. *HUGE SIGH*

Hey everyone! I just called admissions--they said notifications should be out end of February... ...This should significantly increase my cell phone battery life--until the end next month. Ahhh!

Has anyone heard otherwise from the application office? If it will be until the end of February I can save a significant amount of cell phone battery life from refreshing the appstatus page repeatedly... and resume about a month from now!

You should see the experience of another user here--you may have received an interview invite, but it may have gone to the wrong inbox or spam folder. That person was able to call OSU earlier this week and get their interview re-activated. Mine still says pending.

Any idea what purpose repeating the question served? Resisting the urge to compulsively re-load my appstatus page...
